Hello Christa. Fun trip you took us on. Loved hearing the kids in the background. As far as crochet goes, I'm being lazy because it's summer and I'm trying to enjoy every bit of heat and sunshine I can soak. We have long winters in New England. I feel crochet is put on hold until wintertime though I put in a few stitches here and there.

Hi Christa here in northern maine it is summer time the weather has been in the middle to high 80's too warm for me. I live on the lake called long lake in Sinclair Maine. Thank you for the little tour you made it as if I was there with you. The Canadian border is about 20 miles from where I live and about 35 miles the other way to Canada, love going to Perth Andover, New Brunswick Canada, they have a dairy bar there that has the best fish and chips just love it. For as long as you have been in Africa you can still detect a Canadian accent. Thank you again for the tour much love and laughter.

That was a fun outing with the kiddos. It's summer here in nc. I have been diamond painting more lately then crocheting. I am working on a cover for my daughter's bed. Black with like metallic running thru it in the shape of a circle. Got the idea from fiber spider I love him. My daughter picked it out cause she said it looks like a spider web.

Hi Christa! Well, it's been hot hot hot here in Texas. We finally got a break from the triple digit temperatures,(in F), the past couple of days. It's been around 43.4 C for the past 3 weeks! I 've been working on a 6 Day Kid Blanket to make a baby blanket for a coworker. My rectangular blanket for my grand daughter has been set aside while I finish it. It's been so hot, she doesn't mind! I love your Daisy blocks, can't wait to see the finished blanket! Well, as always I enjoyed your podcast as I'm hooking away to finish this blanket! I only have 3 more rows, then it's onto the border.

Hi from South Carolina, USA! My name is Carrie (obviously!) and I wanted to take a minute and say hello! I have spent the last week watching all of your vlogs, some of your tutorials and I am getting ready to start watching your lives. Last week, I made 17 of your Accordion Holiday Balls for me, gifts for the people who come to our Christmas party this year and a few for some of the kids in my life to play with as toys. The balls were me taking a break from working on my two big stash projects. I did a Rainbow Granny Square Blanket (5.5ft x 5.5ft) and now I am working on a Rainbow C2C. I asked to join the FAL/CAL group, but I haven't gotten accepted by the admin yet. I can't wait to see what everyone else is working on this Summer. I have so many projects that need to be done that I have pulled the supplies together for. I have just loved watching your channel while working on my projects! In some of your previous videos, you were asking about stashes, WIPs, craft plans for the rest of year... This year I instituted what I have been calling "The Great Craftdown of 2018". I am A) not buying any craft supplies-fabric, yarn, papers, sticker- that are stashable. I set a limit of $150 for the whole year only because I did start some new crafts last year and might need supplies as I go. B) I am working up my yarn stash. I have a lot of things I am in love with and need to find projects for otherwise they aren't being optimally loved C) I restarted my written blog to help with accountability and to not annoy my family on Facebook with 900 projects this year. So far, I have completed 71 projects or groups of projects from card making to yarn blankets for donation. I am hoping to have 150 items done before the end of year and I am making fairly good progress on that. I am actually thinking that I might have aimed a little low because after I get back from holiday, I am hoping to pick up some sewing on the year too. I have finally gotten enough space on my desk to bring my machine back out.' If you are at all interested, my blog is thehappycraftyhomemaker.blogspot.com/ if you want to see my AMAZING room or to see what I have been working on this year. It isn't as impressive as your project list (or as ambitious-Lion Head) but I am very proud with what I have gotten done so far. I am considering switching over to a vlog format only because finding time to type is harder than just talking for me. I hope that it gets warm soon for you! We are roasting today with a heat index of 37.2 (converted it for you). Our humidity is over 60% because of all the night rains we have been getting. I didn't mean to write you a novel, but I am just so excited to have found you and I wanted to share back after watching how much you have given over this year. I can't wait to see what you have on your hook coming towards the holiday!

Loving the granny square blanket & much prefer the white flat braid join. It will look awesome! Amazing to get all of that yarn! It would take me ages to work through all of that...... however I crochet with 4 ply yarn, so it takes much longer to use up each ball of yarn! Fun going shopping with you! I'm over half way through your podcasts now! I might watch an old podcast & then a new to mix it up now!!

YaY! You're making the polka dot blanket?!!! I'm in! It's summer here in California. Really nice weather in my area. I just finished a blanket from a whole bunch of yarn I've had for years when I was a loomer. I call it my "Don't judge a blanket by it's colors." It's a bunch of mish mash colors, but it's the softest, squishiest blanket ever!!! Love it and I'm giving it to my best friend. I've just started a blanket for my daughter. It's going to be a rainbow color way in the granny shell stitch---my favorite (and hers). Wow. A paragraph later! LOL! Blessing Crista xoxo Victoria

I think the charcoal is for the polkadot blanket. With regards to the giveaway you could do 5 days with 3 winners, so you still have a connection with the 15.000. But maybe not products for all 15 winners, because shipping is so expensive. Jarnjoy podcast did a giveaway where you could win a ravelry pattern, that's nice as well. Or something like fiber spider, he gives amazon gift certificates (and when they use your link, you get a small part back) And than on the last day one winner who can win a package like you have done so far, because the local products make your giveaways special.

I don't know why the charcoal, but it's something beautiful, no question. How is that lion WIP coming along, Christa? See, people don't understand why I am so intimidated by amigurumi, but if someone who is so good and truly passionate about crochet feels not-so-hot about it, I'm not sure I want to bother. It might stress me out if I get frustrated. Alright, I understand your lion is well...giant! I get it how even you can feel blah about it. Bug I have had trouble doing circular crochet before, just making a darn soap saver bag! I absolutely hate scrubby yarn because of it, I cannot see the stitches at all. So when I try again I might use it combined with a strand of cotton. After I master a soap saver I actually like, in any close stitch, I might try amigurumi (a 4" raindrop shouldn't be too hard!). So you can see why I stick with scarves and throws. My favorite thing to crochet is throws and blankets though. When I can afford the yarn, I want to do a planned pooling blanket. I am not fond of joining motifs but may try an African Flower animal. Anyway, love your vids. Can't wait to see your vids in Feb. 2019! Have a great day.

Hi Christa, my name is Kimberly Westervelt. I follow Setta on KZbin and I saw the package that you sent her and it included WIP cards. She told me she got them from you. I was wondering where to get them? Thank you. That is awesome that you have six dogs are they different breeds or all the same breed? 😁👍

how do you crochet so fast! i just finished a lovey blanket which took me three days, one day was used just to sew the bunny head and arms on. Love your videos and look forward to the next one, you have a some well behaved kids. Also wanted to ask you if your camera is mounted to your car so you don't have to hold it, or is it on your head?
