I can't believe my eyes!!! This is so cool to see a man crochet... Most men have to much pride. Great video. You did a great job very detailed. I've been searching and searching for a man's beanie instructions and your video is the only one I found good enough to go by. Thank You

Thank you, I know it's not the normal thing for a male to crochet but I enjoy it. Just something about making a beanie or anything out of yarn is an amazing process to me. Glad I could help you out though!

Dang man this has been one of the easiest videos to follow on how to do a ribbed beanie .

I'm going to make it longer into a touque. It should stretch open enough. This is the best tute vid I've found tonight

Awesome video! Thank you. Takes so long compared to a traditional double-crochet beanie, but I can tell it’s going to look so cool. 😎
@DannyBrandt6 жыл бұрын
Exactly, much longer to make. However the compliments I've gotten wearing it makes it worth it :)

Great tutorial, your explanations were very helpful. I am a beginner so I made a few mistakes, but it turned out pretty good. Thank you!

also I was wondering what green you used for the beanie you showed at the beginning? Im working on a8 bit link pixel blanket and we weren't able to find the right green. that green looks perfect to use on my next one. also forgot to mention you did a good job on your tutorial😊
@DannyBrandt7 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I honestly burnt myself out with crochet by doing so much, so I'm struggling to get back into it. As far as the green. I'll try to look through some bins and see if I can find the label for it.
@whatever-ql5ns6 жыл бұрын
Bless you Danny, I spend lots of time looking thru my bins too, especially when I’ve absentmindedly put something valuable in there by mistake.🤓

It is great,I don’t like gathering the top of my beanies, they look so lumpy. That’s why I really like this one..

Cool, I’ve been looking for a good ribbed beanie in the round, this is it! Thanks. One question, did you do anything at the bottom like a single crochet or slip stitch? Would it work if I did one?
@klarag70596 жыл бұрын
Good video. Well explained. Will you be making any more crocheting tutorials?
@DannyBrandt6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I'm not sure if I'll do more videos. I want to, however I don't want to rely on other peoples patterns to make tutorials. For example, I want to do some amigurumi projects, but I have no idea how to do that on my own. So I would have to find patterns on Ravelry and hope they're okay with me using it.

Would it be a good idea to end it with a single crochet row - just to give it a proper border? Or would it affect the fit in some way? TIA.

I heard the magic loop or ring is just a loose chain starter. If that the case it will make my life so much easier. I have yet to try it.
@apap-fg9rp6 жыл бұрын
I made a magic circle with 6 loose chains and it accommodated the 24 stitches well.

Help! My beanie is getting larger and larger. Like a round placemat. Where have I gone wrong? Can I post a picture?
@kfisher700kf6 жыл бұрын
Did you stop increasing on row 3? Should be 24 DC, then 72 DC(by increasing) and then one DC in each of the 72 from then on. After a few more rows it starts to take a hat shape.
