I realised that I did not include the start of round 2. It is CH 2, 1 FPDC , 1DC, 1 FPDC, 1 DC , till the end of the round. Very nice skirt. I would probably lengthen mine by making flowers and attaching the last row of the petal to the picots. It might also make a lovely dress, with the same floral detailing in the top and sleeves. You have given me much to think about! Thank you.

HDC you pull through all 3 loops while DC you pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through the 2. KZbin have to search KZbin for the tutorials on how to do these 2 stitches or any other basic stitches.

If i think my skirt is too large after the first 2 decreases, should I work in 16 and 10 stiches again to decrease it?

Yes, that’s a better choice. A hook size smaller than what’s recommended for the yarn.
