I made them and they are the most comfortable pair❣I was so excited when I finished the first that I stayed up late to finish the pair. I use a size 6 US, USED Red Heart used 2 strands. Simply added 1 row to foot part and 1 row to ankle part and O.M.G. Perfect for rheumatic and lupus feet. Have to make these for mom 2 time cancer survivor with neuropathy in feet for chemo and radiation. Thank you! Oh, just speak a bit louder "Crochet Whisperer"😘

I made these and they turned out great. One thing I would say is I made them a taaad small (mainly in the instep.) I am a US size 8 and I would say to do 11 or 12 stitches in the beginning rather than 10

By the way, my son doesn’t like the square heel so I simply decreased a stitch on both sides for a few rows just before the heel was finished and it rounded it off perfectly. You’re so adorable. I love the way you are giggling at the end. You are such a joy to listen to.

Thank you! I've made 1 and it looks just as good as yours! I used normal crochets instead of your special knit one because my yarn split too easily and I had to improvise on the size because I have smaller yarn and bigger feet so I ended up with 18 in the magic circle lol

Unique stitch designs thank you so much for replying. I am using yarnspirations Caron simply soft. It calls for a 5 mm hook, but I like using a 4mm hook

No 100% sure as I don't know this yarn ....but I would go with 7 in MG and then double in second round as my son is 10 and I done the slippers for him and I started with 8 try it ...and let me know sorry I am not a big help need to do a tutorials for kids as well .....but with a bit busy these days:) thank you for your comment stay safe x

I WAS THINKING IF YOU TRY 7 into the ring then dounble it try to cover first 4 toes and if its covered well then you will be good to go

For bigger sizes start with more ch into the ring 12 single crochet .. and make it longer until you get to the front of your ankle ......the add more rows for your heel part until you can close it .

I really REALLY wish you would include a row count! I don't know anyone who wears a size 4, so I did 12 sc into the magic circle and increased to 24 stitches around. But how many rows to make before you start on the heel?? These slippers are meant for my sister who wears a size 8 shoe (USA).

@@Uniquestitchdesigns Not the number of rows needed for the bigger size! As for 24 stitches around for bigger size, that is barely wide enough for my foot, which is smaller than my sister's.

@TheDebba521 not sure what you mean....but if your starting cup at the start can cover 4 toes then it will be perfect size for you to continue.

Tell your sister to trace her foot on a piece of paper, standing on a hard surface with her weight bearing on that foot. Tell her to mark where each of her toes are, where her toe joints begin, also mark where her foot and leg meet and then cut it out and glue it onto a piece of sturdy oaktag or cardboard and cut that out. You can take a ruler and mark inches from longest toe to end of heel if you want. This will be the template for your sisters foot. When you make slippers or socks the three measurements you need are how wide your toes are across, how long your foot is from longest toe to end of heel and where the foot bend starts. Remember you need negative ease because socks are meant to fit secure not sag, crocheted slippers and socks stretch out especially if using acrylics rather than a nylon blend socks specific yarn and the heels will wear out fast unless you use a sock specific nylon blend. Sock specific is a fingering weight yarn so you need to crochet 3 or 4 strands together on whatever size hook she is suggesting here .
