Oh. So we're saying where we're from? Deena, here, from Washington state. After slip stitching to make the loop & chaining 1, after making 12 single crochets into the loop, when you say to slip stitch into the first stitch "we" made, are you talking about the chain 1 stitch or the first out of the 12 single crochets? Because technically, the chain one would be the first stitch made, no? Please help! And, if you don't mind, how is it you are able to keep your stitches so straight & uniformed? Its as if you really almost don't have to starch your projects. I'd like to be able to do that. Thank you show much for sharing your talent with us.

Hi Deena! As I mentioned in another comment, the first stitch would be the single crochet, as the one chain doesn't count. Keeping stitches straight is mostly the matter of practice and keeping the right tension. That said, I always block and starch lacy projects like this! It doesn't look good without such treatment, no matter what :) Thank you for following my tutorials ❤️

Hi, why aren‘t you doing the stitches symmetrically? Is there a special reason? E.g. 3dc 1 picot 2dc instead of 3 in the 4th row and also in the following row it is not symmetrical? I love your patterns but this is what I wonder. Thanks regards Ingrid

hi Ingrid! in this particular case the third double crochet is the "middle" one, on top of which the picot sits. Of course, if you like it better with three and three, go for it!

In English, it is pronounced peek-oh, not peek-ot. The T is silent.

thank you for pointing it out, someone already told me this and I'm making sure to pronounce it right in the newest videos :)

And I will never ever waste my time trying to do a crochet by this person, who assumes we know as much as she, who designed the thing, know. "The same stitch as was slip stitched in the previous row"? Are you out of your mind?

Hi! I assume you're referring to the last round. Saying it like this was actually the easiest way to tell you where the stitch should go. You can always look at the stitches you made in previous rounds and refer to them. If you did a slip stitch, I assume you know what it looks like and can find it again (if you're unsure which stitch is which, I recommend refreshing the basics with my Crochet for Beginners playlist). If it's too confusing, the video should also help you - you can see where I'm placing the stitch. Sorry to hear you had trouble following my pattern.

I should never have posted this. I apologize for my incredible rudeness, but I was really frustrated. This presenter should watch another one who never speaks a word of English, but I can follow her patterns much more easily. She has the stitches -- and they are not always correct in American English -- posted on the top of the video. But you can see just what she is doing. And she goes much faster. There is a way to do it without good English. Sorry I cannot name her right away. Something like knitting therapy...?

Thank you. I know how frustrating crocheting can be. I'd love to see the channel you're mentioning, so please let me know if you find it :)
