Crochet star pouch tutorial! (original pattern ♡)

star drawstring pouch ⭐ (written pattern) ch-chain sc- single crochet hdc-half double crochet dc-double crochet trc-treble crochet mr- magic ring slst- slip stitch st-stick/s round 1 mr ch 2 15 dc in mr slst in second ch round 2 ch 5 (skipping first ch from the hook) sc into second ch from the hook hdc into third ch from the hook dc into fourth ch from the hook trc into the fifth ch from the hook count 3 st from the first ch you made and sl st into it repeat until it’s a star round 3 slip knot in a diff colour pick any point in your star( it doesn’t matter which one) sc in the top ch of the point hdc in the very next stitch dc in the next stitch trc in the next stitch trc2tog in the next stitch trc in the next stitch dc in the next stitch hdc in the next stitch sc in the next stitch (the very top of the next point) repeat till the end round 4 sc next stitch hdc next stitch dc next stitch trc next stitch trc corner next stitch 3 sc next stitch repeat till you get where you star- ted (hehe get it) cut off by ch 1 and pulling, then cut your granny square is finished make another one! *you should weave in ends at this point* round 5 slip knot with the colour you made the star in put the granny squares together, lining them up so one is on top of the other (I can’t really explain this while writing and I wrote this for my self so you should probably watch the video if you don’t understand) sc before the ch 2 (the holes in the corner) when you get to the ch 2 (hole) put 2 sc in it put 1 sc in the rest of the sts (except for the ch2s you still put 2 sc in those repeat until the 3rd ch2 (hole) you do once your done snip the end off and you’ve finished binding it together for the bag part round6 (might need to watch the video for this, as it is confusing, and i’m not good at writing patterns) switch to the other colour and make a slip knot starting right after where you used the last of the other colour with kind of made a border, sc and sc crochet till you reach the other side of the next colour * don’t do this with the granny squares put together that will close it fully * once you reach the next side of the border sc into the other granny square and continue sc till the next border side and switch to the granny square you started on repeat 4 times ch with a random piece of yarn (the length doesn’t really matter and I would say ch about 20-30 depending on your yarn and this will serve as the thread you pull to close the pouch thread this through the lip of the pouch using a darning needle, your crochet hook or whatever you have on hand if you figured this out using this written pattern and not the video, tell me I even I can’t understand my own patterns

@@Mimi-x7u just wanted to say there is a mistake in the video which I accidentally added to the written pattern where you end up with a hexagon in stead of a square! in round 4 after 3sc repeat but the opposite way(trc corner, trc, dc, hdc,sc)

Hi there, I love your pattern 😊, but when I made the star the middle of it was undoing itself... I think it is probably my fault as I am a begginer, but do you have any ideas of what probably caused it?

if you used a magic ring it’s probably that, they tend to undo themselves. i suggest weaving the starting end through your first round of stitches a few times to secure it! hope this helps :)

If you didn't fully follow along with her and you were just using the pattern she put on the side then its probably because it says trc corner which is a treble, chain 2, then another treble in the same stitch. I hope this helped u!

heyyy thank u so much for this awesome tutorial! unfortunately mine doesn't look that good, but well... practice makes perfect I guess 😝 maybe next time, could you say what you are doing with the last stitch of a row? e.g. for the last row of the 4 sc rows, I didn't know what to do with the very last stitch, is it still a sc and you just stitch up the ends or is it a slip stitch? xoxo Ps: I really like your voice, I understood you perfectly! u can add an outline or js use bigger yarn (outline the star or square (sq around again w a ch1 for corners)
