How did you get yours to look so boxy and clean? I am almost done with mine and it does not have any form :(

It might be due to type of yarn you used? If its not sturdy it might not be holding its shape, but you can always size down the hook for more sturdier look 🫶

@@KenikseCrochet ooh it might be it, because i used a different yarn. I was wondering if you reinforced the corners and bottom in some way or block it somehow to give the bag that box shape. Beyond the corners not being sharp, the bag ended up looking really cute so thank you so much 🥰♥️

So when going around and increasing by 2 single crochets, I keep counting 30 stitches instead of 31 when reaching the end of the 1st long side of the main bag: round 1. I’m not sure if I’m counting wrong nor where I went wrong .. ? So one side I count 31 stitches and the other 30… when finished I counted 83 stitches all around

You either need to redo it, or add extra stitch to make it up for the needed count

What if the yarn I’m using is much bigger than yours ( size 7 / jumbo ) would that effect the number of chains/sc/etc ?

If you use bigger yarn your bag will turn out bigger, so if you want to make exact one like in the video you would need to work out pattern

The pattern is multiples of 5 basically. Ex. Base chain is multiples of 5+2. Base height is multiples of 5. The body should follow the same format as normal but you might end up with more or less “boxes”

I’ve come across some hurdles now. After going all the way around with single crochets I never know in which stitches to put single crochets and in which stitches to put front Post triple crochets. Do you have some advice on how to finde the right stitches?

Your single crochet loop where you would normally go in has fron post to the left of it, so this is where you should be going in, you can practice on a little swatch with 3 or so stitches, and learn to identify those front posts 🫶 When you do single crochet, you should be going with front post from the side of single crochet you made, to the next loop side, not sure if this helps
