I just wanted to say a big thank you Allison for this tutorial. When I first stumbled across this tutorial, I stopped watching it within a few minutes thinking that this was way way above my skills. A few days later i reopened the video and watched a little more and when you gave your words of encouragement I actually believed that I could do this…..and I did! I actually did it. Thank you so much for being so encouraging and for being so clear with your instructions. I appreciate it so very much. I am so proud of myself that I was able to do this for my first Granddaughter.

Great pattern! Very easy, fast, and looks fantastic when finished. I made one blanket for a charity drive and another one as present for family and have now another request to make a pillow case (to match the second blanket) and even a doily (for a square coffee table) with this pattern. Also the tutorial is very well done.

I haven’t finished the video yet, but this looks like something I can do. I’ve done granny squares before so I feel pretty comfortable with the concept. Anything that doesn’t start with chaining a million starting chains is great in my book! Plus if you mess up you can recognize a mistake right away instead of 3 or 4 long rows on work that has to be redone. Those are the projects that never get finished in my house. Thank you for the great explanation.
