I have some Aunt Lydia #10 crochet thread that I had gotten for needle tatting, I'm thinking it would work up really pretty using a 3mm crochet hook.

I am using a size 10 too, with a 1.65 mm hook. My thread is America's Best and it is polyester. I have no clue how old it is - maybe 20 years? Lily bought them in 2011 I think.

I'll have to do a test swatch. I crochet with tight tension. I'm thinking the idea of dipping in glue and sprinkle with glitter would make pretty tree decorations
