I’ve always used the magic ring method to do my granny squares. Does it make a difference with how it looks afterwards if you use the chain method?

I just personally like this method but you can absolutely use a magic ring too🎃

It’s generally not much of a difference but there will be a small space if you chain whereas with magic loop you can cinch that space closed. The space is usually just about the circumference of the hook you are using.
