Ok, I’m at a standstill for a bit. I have my row of 18sc and ready for attaching the arms, but if I add 3sc it will put my arms in the middle of the body🤷🏼‍♀️. Will it work out right if I just crochet them into my row of 18sc evenly on each side?

Row 37 leaves you with 30 but it says leaves you with 36, then it's repeated in row 38 (4sc then a decrease) leaves you with 30?

I keep getting stumped. I ripped out and started over 😂. I am at row 28. Row 26 I ended with 24, row 27 with 30, but row 28 I keep getting 38. Can anyone help 🤷🏼‍♀️
