The best part of this video is that you thought to show to address the corners. So many of these demo's fail to do this and I wind up not ding them. Thanks for a great, easy to follow tutorial.

You demonstrated this Wave Fan Edging so beautifully. I am not good on following written instructions, I like to see how it's been done and thank you so much that was very thorough. Thank you so much Miss Girly. In my church we do blankets for humanity project and we want them to have edgings but because I am not so skilled in crocheting I do the simple stitch but I am glad I found this demo of yours. I will try it for my project, a table runner. God bless you.

I've not yet run across the Russian videos you're talking about, but I'm grateful that you've made this one, since apparently they don't show how to handle corners. I would have been frustrated trying to figure it all out had I stumbled upon a Russian language vid. For me, it's Spanish. I've been trying to keep up just by watching what the video maker is doing, but I've finally realized it's in my best interest to learn the names of the stitches and more so that I can properly take advantage of those tutorials. I'll tell you now though, compared to the language difficulties, converting from UK stitch names to US convention is a walk in the park. lol
@TruthificationChronicles5 жыл бұрын
This is a great border! Thanks! I did one little tweak with the corner. Instead of chaining 4, I chained 5 and put in 9 double crochets (well, trebles in your terms). It's really not noticeable that there are 2 extra stitches there and it makes it lie nice and flat.

I like your style especially where you gave instructions on how to problem solve not having enough trebles to attach the chain to and in doing the corner. You said that it looked good so you went with it (you sound like me) and told us how to successfully alter the pattern if we wanted more of an arch. I often problem solve myself when things don't look right (especially when I am combining elements of different patterns for my own unique project), but that usually entails undoing countless stitches and having gobs of yarn pulled out all over my desk and a day of work gone. So, I appreciate your tips. Since I liked your video, I went on over to your channel and looked at your videos. I was surprised that so many of them were patterns similar to ones I had recently looked up or were wanting to look up for future projects. So I subscribed. It's a pleasure.

I'm currently working on adding this border to an afghan done completely in dc (US sc). I didn't like the look of the trebles against the dc, so I'm doing 4 dc across the base, and changing the 7 tr part to "dc, htr, 3tr, htr, dc". It seems to sit flatter. I sure hope I can work out the corners. Thanks for this tute - it's so easy to follow.

Girlybunches Since I was a rather young girl, my mom started me with a Doily. Then I moved on to buffet runners, pillow cases, armrest and headrest protectors. And then I made a skirt 😀 Crochet was not as adventurous when it came to type of applications for the skill, however great my skill was at doing it. I was really good then, so now it's like starting over again. I guess it will be like riding a bike hopefully. I am pretty good with the knitting so I won't let crochet whip me at all 😄
