When you are doing a queen size it says to chain 438 that's with the drape then do I need to chain 18 more to it

Why does it start out with double crochet? Wouldnt that make it look weird if you are making a single crochet blanket and the first row is DC?

Start it with what you think is easier. Remember, patterns are suggestions. Change what works for you better. :D

I agree. I would like to see a single crochet video also. All the videos I'm finding are either double crochet or don't skip instead of decrease. I can't find a video that is all single crochet and decrease without skipping.
