You could have blocked it before sewing the sides shut. Blocking will help with the slanted-ness and straighten up the stitches.

It was so cosy vlog💜 I don't mind at all if it will be more voiceover☺I was making litle army of froggies for market and finishing shawl (which is a gift for my fiance's great-grandma)💜 And as speaking about gifts, I would keep pink one If I were you and gifted the brownish one (I think more people prefer neutrals so it could be a good shot)
