Talking about fashion not having to be flattering is sending me into a spiral (in a good way)

i really appreciated the way you talked about your past style choices. acknowledging that, while you don't like it now, you were very fashionable at the time, and importantly not judging your past self. i feel like i see a lot of negativity online surrounding one's past fashion, past art, etc. and labeling it "cringe" and really talking bad about one's past self, so this was really refreshing to see :-) like you were still honest about not liking it now lmao, but not beating your past self up about your decisions

omg i cannot beat myself up bc i am literally doing the same thing now with th way i dress HAHAHA it's important to be kind!!

This was very fun to listen to. I’m 70 and have always done my own style/thing/hippy army jacket in senior year at Catholic school. However I always worked at getting my kids whatever their fashion hearts desire was growing up on a super budget…. You are my fave designer.

i’ve never felt so seen by someone’s style evolution. i hit every one of these beats too. the cool tone feed with the weirdly business casual almost twee outfits went CRAZY back then for no reason 😭 the panic over finding a good backdrop was so real

The whole long sleeve under short sleeve was my entire jam circa 2006-2009. I was mid to late teens and wore the hell out of a stripped long sleeve undershirt, that thing got holes in the elbows from me wearing it so much. I've stuck with the black as I've got older but refined it down to black and orange, very Halloween goth. The thing about core pieces is so true, I can form an entire wardrobe around my chiffon culottes, or black vinyl trousers. Those are staples in my wardrobe.

It’s great where trend can show an indentity , even for Fun. Have seen this trend for mafia wife, big glasses, glossy makeup, and a fake fur coat. It looks like fun. The trend is mostly on instagram, have not seen it anywhere else.

Concerning the sound of your needles and hooks clashing with your nails: I don't know about anyone else, but for me, the sound is *total* ASMR. Mmmmm...thank you.

I really loved this video and seeing your photos, and hearing about your feelings/views etc of different things. It's really great seeing more of you now and by the way, I'm just doing a jumper with those two colours... I hadn't thought about Patriotic as 1) I'm in the UK and 2) The colours are more subdued? Either way I like them together.!

i have crocs for work (i’m a chef) and i hate how they look. not only are they ugly af they’re constantly caked in flour and oil because i start my day out by making 50 lbs pizza dough lol. they’re so gross BUT i literally wear them everywhere because they’re so easy to put on and indestructible. i’ll be wearing a really slay fit and greasy ass crocs and it’s kind of a vibe sometimes lmao
