girlllll, around 11 min mark, i felt that in my SOUL. I've had this channel since youtube was huge and i made so many videos on my duck tape wallets, squishies, clay, etc. and I had to private all of my videos and I STOPPED making videos because girls were NASTY and made fun of me SOOOO MUCH. Looking back now, i wish I wouldve kept going because my hobbies are so popular now.. makes me sad not knowing where I'd be on youtube/my business if I kept going. it is what it is. Just know I totally relate to you!!

Agreed… Knitting does look better than crochet🫣 knitting pretty much made me dislike crochet clothes. I gave myself a happy medium: knit my clothing and crochet bags, amigurumis, keychains and such. Best of both worlds babyyy! My small tidbit of advice for knitting: I got metallic needles for a less grippy feel instead of wooden/bamboo because bamboo is too grippy with the yarn, but at the same time grip is good in some cases with certain fibers. I have learned so much on crochet and knit from KZbin. I started knitting with a kit I bought from a craft store. It had yarn, knitting needles and instructions booklet. I have knitted and crocheted since then. I use plastic looms and round knitting machines, knitting needles crochet hooks. I actually made a pull over sweater using a knitting machine. It looks like I spent hours knitting but the machine does a lot of the work. I find crochet and knitting relaxing.

AMAZING VIDEO!!! Literally I was crochet while listening. I don't like audio books or podcasts and because of that I watch KZbin videos while crocheting but they distract me a lot and I tend to forget that I'm crocheting. This video was just PERFECT because I didn't have to take a look at the video a lot and I could just listen. Btw the tips were good. I was thinking of making my own store next year but I'm a bit shy because I feel like somebody I know will see my content. Also in your video you asked if we were crocheting and YES I am! I'm making a market bag and I'm almost done and I'm afraid my yarn is going to run out just a few rows before finishing and now I was wondering whether I should buy the same color again for a small piece or maybe I could use another color so I mix them. I had a very similar experience with starting crocheting. I started around 2018(?) because of Girl Scouts and I’m an overachiever and wanted that patch. Took a couple classes and really enjoyed it. I took a break from crocheting for a while during COVID but I haven’t set it down since 2022. I haven’t sold anything major but I gave my friend some flowers and she paid me $5 for them so I’m going to try to do some markets with my other crafty friends

My first “crochet” project was a finger crochet chunky knit blanket. I only did it cuz it was trendy and all I needed was the yarn, I brought 2 skeins of 2 different colors and it was so ugly and had so many gaps 💀 a month later I tried again and I corrected my mistakes and I LOVE IT! After that I started branching out with crochet :) one of my favorite hobbies! Also the way to price your items is your hourly rate times how many hours it takes you to make it times material cost. Soo Hourly rate × hours it took + material cost = Base price And like she said if ur constantly picking it up and putting it down then have a timer set up and pause the timer when ur not crocheting!
