Hi Kamryn!! As someone that transferred schools because I was soooo unhappy there, DO IT! I was so scared because it involved switching my major and essentially starting my college education from scratch but I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made and it sounds like you need a change.

Hey, hearing your rant about not liking your current school, I think community college would be a great option for you. I think community college is more flexible, so you can focus more on working on your business while taking classes at whatever pace you like

I honestly would second this. I’ve worked for public universities for years and genuinely I wish people talked about how important community colleges are and the services they provide. There’s not only one way to do college

hey kamryn ! i completely understand what you’re feeling, i’m glad you expressed it ! I once lived in a town i didn’t exactly felt like i fit, i transferred back home and to a community college. i have definitely appreciated the experience i had there but just not for me and that’s okay ! i’m happier now and sometimes we have to try new things to find out we don’t like them, no problem with that girl

silent viewer here! as someone about to go into their third and final year of university, it sounds like moving cities and transferring colleges will be a really good change, especially if your core social circle will be coming along as well. you're at a really good spot to do so since you've had time to figure out what college life is like and more or less restarting (in an academic sense with having to repeat first year) isn't going to set you back. good luck, remember to take care of yourself!

I was also in a similar situation when I was in college. I am from Chicago but started college in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I absolutely hated the town, so I transferred to a school in the heart of Chicago. I graduated this year, and couldn’t have been happier with the switch. You got this girl! It will be uncomfortable at first but you’ll find your footing. I’m rooting for you. ❤

Kamryn I think if you want to leave then you should leave. Especially if your friends feel the same way you guys can all transfer to a new college. You guys are young have fun with your college life. You shouldn’t feel isolated in college. I’m a junior and I always knew a city university (such as Boston University) would be the option for me simply bc I love community. You should never feel stuck in college. ( I’m usually a silent watcher but I NEEDED to get this off my chest) ❤

hi kamryn I’ve already graduated and working and I’ve gone through what you’ve been going through. I think you are either feeling burnt out or homesick. I sooooo understand feeling trap in the boring city. Where I live it’s kinda boring. I have to drive at least 1 hour out to have any real fun. I love in the DMV area btw. I’ve been here since 2007 & never moved since. Graduating college and it being hard to find/get accepted to a “entry level” position with an accounting degree has been hard, BUT I just got a job offer earlier today so I’m finally breaking that weird stuck feeling & just excited to level up one more as a young adult.
