crocheting a hammock for my yarn *beginner friendly/crochet yarn storage

If anyone needs the pattern for this , here it is (: *Chain (Ch) 120 *Single crochet (sc) in second chain from hook all the way down. (119 stitches(st)) *Turn. Ch. 5. In third ch. , make a treble crochet. 🔴* Ch. 2. In third St, make a treble crochet.🔴 Repeat this step For every row (one with red emojis) I think she did 20 rows of this but you can do less or more, whichever is the right width for you.(:

I made this for my niece for her stuff animals i did add handles for the ends as well as flowers on the side tooke me about 5 day inbetween work and animals and house moving but she loves it i would make more

2:37 it’s a treble or triple crochet I believe… Please learn the stitches name if you plan to do tutorials because it’s helpful as a newbie I look things up by stitch name sometimes but I’ve made toy hammocks so I knew what that one was

Thanks for the help! I’ve looked at so many other videos but they weren’t right for what I wanted. I knew when I saw cal poly on ur sweatshirt. So I sent a screenshot to my daughter who’s in college rn in SD. Then you use my favorite word sent a text to my daughter then… U have a similar cat to my daughters. 😳 🤯 😆 Thanks again. I recreated this hammock and made it with 4 weight yarn and 3.5mm hook. So the squares are smaller then hers and more sturdy

Tip is use plastic bags from like Joanns or publix or walmart to make this instead of yarn. i suggest watching tutorials on how to make plarn

seems like it, after your first row of singles, you chain two, then treble crochet 3 chains over. edit: i’ve made the hammock, it’s really sturdy and it holds all of my yarn perfectly

for anyone confused: crochet 100-120 stitches single crochet a row treple/triple crochet (yarn over twice, go into 3rd stitch from hook, pull up the stitch you dug into, pull up 2, pull up 2, pull up 2 (then 1 left) chain 5 treple/triple crochet until end repeat the chain 5 and treple crochet 15 - 20 times

it looks like she only used one. it was a big one. i recently got some and her’s looked like one i got that was 716 yards. maybe it was more or less, but when she said it cost about $10, i assumed they were the same size. i just finished my first row, so i’ll update to say for sure from my experience. :)
