Thank you so much for your flawless directions. The fact that you used a larger thread & hook made it so much easier to observe the stitches. Awesome work.

Beautiful Motif. I have found that they can be joined at the point of chain 4 when coming back down row. Chain 1 then slip through point on other motif (counts as chain 2) then chain 2 more and continue pattern as usual. You can only connect at two points per motif. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

If the motif had 8 or 12 points instead of 10, they'd be easier to join into a table cloth or bedspread, especially if you make a smaller motif to fill the space between four motifs when you join them.

Stacy, is it possible to join your doily's together, and if possible could you do a video? I would love to have several joined for my table top.
@rebeccamay64206 жыл бұрын
Since this is a 10 point shape, I wouldn't recommend trying to join multiple motifs together. Perhaps a motif that has either 8 or 12 points would work better, especially if adding a smaller motif in the space between four motifs when joining. To increase or decrease the number of points, you would have to start with a different count of spokes in the middle, and change the length of each arc and where you connect the next one - I'm guessing that fewer shorter arcs have to connect closer, and if using more points the arcs have to be longer and connected further out.

I miscounted. This motif has 11 points. Odd numbered sides/points really don't work well in joining. Better to make it even numbered and divisible by 4.

Hi, Absolutely stunning video, I’ve made several of these, and I’m wondering has anyone managed to join them all together to make a larger piece? I’m struggling with making the joins even. Thanks in Advance.
