Happy International Crochet (and knit) in Public Day!!!
Today was a tough one but a super rewarding one since the Betsy Five / Plyful / Nomad Stitches crew made our way up the second highest peak in Snowdonia in Wales. Reaching the summit of Cader Idris while carrying Nunu most of the time was incredibly tough, but it was also a great reminder of how amazing my body really is, even if I can no longer walk to the toilet!! I am, however, even more impressed with Maggie who completed the WHOLE thing all on her two feet two weeks before her 5th birthday! It's supposed to only be 3 miles up, but it took us about 6 hours round trip, it was rocky and there was a LOT of scrambling, so to say that we are proud and impressed is an understatement!!
And even in the windy summit, it was fun to get a few stitches done! Although I might have to redo them since it was so chilly I was shivering and my fingers were numb!!
Have you ever been to Snowdonia? How do you feel about hikes/climbs?
If you ever want to take little ones we highly recommend bringing warm food and tea - it was a game changer! And lollies too!!
