Ive made quite a few of these , im in love with this Patten and so effective, made me subscribed, i used white and siler cotton , with the last row i used a ice blue silver cotton ,it makes them look so icy cold , what people might understand more is that you do on row 2 , is chain 5 then do 1fpdc extended= Front post double crochet extended , if you are a beginner that is quite hard as you only write it as a normal crochet either in uk terms 1triple crochet or USA terms 1 Double, where infact in usa terms its a fpdc ext , uk term fptrc ext , it means do the yoh pull up a loop instead of going through the 1st 2 loops you only go through the 1 loop then yarn over again and do the normal dc so its go through 2 loops yo and go through the last 2 loops so it just gives you a bit more hight , then on row 4 its ch1 then 4sc into the ch sp then you have to do 1trfp extended so gives that a lot more hight , and just repeat that around ..😊

I've never seen the stitch treble done the way you do yours. It works though. I will call it my "you tube" treble USA and DBL treble UK.😊

What you call a triple crochet is not what we call a triple crochet. That would mean two yarn overs, then pull up a loop, pull through two loops, do that three times. It looks like you're doing one yarn over, pull up a loop and pull through one loop, then two twice. That's just what I can see.

It winds up being the same height as an American treble. Pulling through one loop instead of two makes the first loop thinner.

There are us and European terminations, in Portugal a dc is to yarn once, to pull up a loop, then too, then too again

So I guess this is done in UK terminology, and unfortunately the note that supposedly translates the terms fails to do so as it says a tr crochet is a tr crochet, when in our terms it is a DC. Took me a while to figure that out; I was really slow. Should have understood when it says ch 3 tr crochet and I saw a double crochet, sure as shootin' it WAS a double crochet. I had to search high and low to find out how to do an EDC two together.... But I am basically a beginner; a long-time knitter. There are two stitches in knitting, knit and purl. There are countless stitches in crochet!

Treble , USA. Double treble UK. Yarn over hook twice , insert hook pull yarn over hook and through two loops . Yarn over hook pull through two loops. Stitch loop remaining. Hdc, USA, htr UK. Is other stitch . Yarn over hook , insert into stitch, yarn over pull through three loops. named as h. Crochet. Lovely pattern though. Earrings for myself.
