Looked good. I order my scrambled eggs soft scrambled so they aren’t so dried out. Yeah, hate cold butter.

We've started to bring our own butter because we like room temperature butter.

Great review. This is one of my favorite breakfast places anywhere. Tops is probably Loveless Cafe in Nashville. But Crockett's is just incredible. Very well managed. We got a table near the kitchen one time and saw them at work. Like a machine. They cook the grits in chicken broth, so they have lots of flavor. They serve Grassland butter at the tables. If it's not hard as a rock, it's my favorite butter in the world. The same people who own this own a bunch of places in the area. Odd because some of the others are not good. But some are -- like Greenbrier.

It's one of our favorite breakfast places, too. We have a tradition that before our Cades Cove camping trip, we eat breakfast there before driving over to the Cove. I don't have any problem with the butter, as far as taste. I just like to be able to spread it without mutilating my toast. This place has the best country ham around.

Love your videos. Love the Smokys. Did not like this place at all. Me and my wife's experience here was horrible. It was 20 degrees. The wait time was 45 minutes we were told. We tried to wait outside but was freezing so we came inside to warm up (hands were froze) and basically got run out. The guy owner/manager was very rude. We waited outside (again) and finally got a text that our table was getting cleaned to come in. The woman behind the counter said can I help someone, I showed her my text and she said to give her a little bit. I told her I've gave her an hour outside in the cold and with a disgusted look she said come this way, slammed menu's down on the table and walked away. Our waitresses wasn't any better. She was short and rude. When we got our food she came by to ask if everything was good and before we could answer she just walked off..... I guess if the owner is rude to the customers, the workers think they can do it as well. A trickle down affect. Maybe we were there on a bad day but we seen several people get run out being very angry about it as well. We won't be back. Don't like waiting an hour in the freezing cold just to be rude to all while taking my money. Felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode with the soup nazi.

I can see why that experience would make you not want to return. Fortunately for us, we have always had good experiences there, so far.

It would be difficult for me to chose what to eat at that place I think I would probably like about 80% of the things on that menu.

Yes, we've never had anything here that was not good.

Place the pad of butter under the bowl of grits for a minute or two…some of us actually like real butter instead of “buttery tasting spread.”

We didn't say one word about "buttery tasting spread". Some of us like real butter, that we can actually spread without mutilating whatever we're trying to spread it on. Other restaurants serve real butter that is spreadable. Did you know that you can set real butter out and let it warm enough to where it is softer and spreadable? Trust me, we've eaten in enough places to know how it works. It is not an "either, or" of "real butter that is hard, or soft buttery tasting spread". Kind of a false analogy there. No need for the unnecessary sarcasm, especially when you didn't apparently even understand what we said, and thought we wanted "buttery tasting spread". Try being nicer. You'll get nicer replies that way.
