I have been wanting to make my own vanilla. Vodka + vanilla beans (Ina Garten's recipe). I'll bet it's yummy. Fortunately we just came back from Mexico and brought back several bottles of pure vanilla. There really is a difference in the flavor- less chemical taste. I would like raisins in this recipe. Thanks!❤😊

Yes if you can’t use real vanilla then make something else that doesn’t call for vanilla. I’ve tried it over the years leaves an aftertaste also in my opinion and I’m 68 years old I’ve been baking a long time. I know it’s expensive nowadays like everything else, but a little bit goes a long wayby the way you guys are so cute. I enjoy watching you happy holidays to everyone and God bless.

I've never used real vanilla so I wouldn't know the difference. Definitely add some raisins and some whole cranberries 😋 sprinkle the top with lots more cinnamon and nutmeg, serve with ice cream 😋

I prefer pure vanilla from Mexico, I’m not sure why but it’s the best. So anytime I’m down there I get a great big one. Bread pudding is one of my favorite things ever but I have to have it with a caramel sauce.😊

Real mexican vanilla. After discovering Mexican vanilla, I don't buy anything else. It can be purchased from Amazon.

I like pure vanilla. Imitation vanilla is made from chemicals and petroleum. I don't think it's very good for our bodies. I haven't eaten bread pudding in years. I would try this. Thanks, and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🦌☃️⛄️

Always REAL Vanilla. Alsoa huge notable taste difference is freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon. Plus the required caramel sauce. Everytime.
