In this video, I am showing you how to display taxonomy terms in different colours with Crocoblock JetEngine. I see many comments below asking me how to show multiple categories in different colours. Here is the solution for it: • Elementor | Crocoblock...
I really enjoy using Crocoblock products.

Thanks for this video Osamu! For me it is not working with posts (so I don't have a custom post type). I added taxonomies and there the colorpicker as meta field but it doesn't show up the colorpicker in the categories. What am I missing?

Osamu that's amazing. You always give great tips. I am looking to create a Meal Planner and Recipe Organizer where after a recipe is selected, you can create a downloadable grocey list. Can JetEngine and smart filters do this? I need your help.

Bravo for your videos...I took two or three tutorials from you for my site. I have a question about how to create a taxonomy list without having a space of 5 cm between each taxonomy

Thanks for this great video! I tried it with one event that has two categories, but both category labels now display in the same color. Do you have a tip on how to solve this?

Hey, most videos explain how to assign a city to your post, but how do I automatically assign the country? (for example, Berlin is always in Germany). I hope you can help me.

I'm trying to achieve this effect but map the color to the CPT ITSELF, rather than a taxonomy within the CPT, as my site uses multiple CPTs but no taxonomies within them. I can only find tutorials on mapping colors to taxonomies and terms. Any ideas on how to do this? SOLVED: What I did was add custom CSS to the theme or via a code snippet like: .cpt-[name1] { background-color: #HEX1 } .cpt-[name2] { background-color: #HEX2 } One for each custom post type. Then, in the Elementor CSS class section I used the dynamic data function like: Elementor Class > Dynamic Data > Current Object Field > Post Type to make the class of this element output to the same name as the custom post type, And then in advanced settings, I set the "before:" text to be: "cpt-" which allows me to match the class denoted in the CSS. This allows me to color the tag dynamically based on what sort of CPT it is while not having to make additional single post templates. Basically, I'm dynamically generating the class names for the element in order to map the CSS to it. This is a rather non-standard method of doing it, and my use case for this was a little weird so I doubt many people are going to benefit from my solution, but I thought I'd write it out. I'm still going to have to do this with a different dynamic field for the listing grid, but I'll find a way to make it work.

I think I understand your question. But how can you list ALL the CPTs? The listing grid widget allows you to select only one CTP.

@@osamu_wakabayashi I am using a custom query via the query builder to show more than just a single CPT type in the grid, and I also wanted to display the post type name on the Single Post template without having to make multiple single post templates. However, I actually solved my own problem. I have updated my original comment with my solution. The method above addresses the latter use case-- I will still have to figure out how to do this properly in the listing grid, I think. Thank you for this video though!

Thankyou so much for the videos! Question: Is there a possibility to get a child taxonomy? I am using "Hierarchical Select AddonSelect Addon" in JetForms which loads correctly. The issue is that the Dynamic Term Widget returns the entire Hierarchy and doesn't let me choose the one I need.

I don't think it works with a child taxonomy. You can always send a feature request to Crocoblock.

I would like this feature too. I had to make my subcategories separate taxonomies for this reason which isn't ideal

Hi I need help please. I did exactly as you said, but the colors don't change for each term if i've selected more than 1 term. If I add more tags with color, it only take the color from 1st term.
