If i had not known you were in Bali..i was sure it was Little India in Singapore...so much tge same.. Amazing. Been to Bali so many time but had no idea all the Gold/Fabric place existed. So there you go..another great variety that you just know how to present. Was hoping to hear some news on Damien. Thank you for the wonderful effort you go to, although it does not look like effort. It seems a natural course of events for you. Keep up the great work😊

There are specialty shops in different areas of Denpasar: an entire neighborhood to buy fabrics, stone sinks and tubs etc. whatever you want, it could be found in Bali. I wouldn’t buy gold from Bali unless I knew it was a authentic gold seller. Here in Alaska where I live, there are many gold mines where they dig up the gold and you know who they are. There are several gold mines where I grew up and it’s very common for women to wear gold nugget jewelry. Some family gold miners make about 1 million USD per season. They still live modest but have real toys like airplanes, dump trucks, etc that common ppl cannot afford.

Mate the RSPCA would have a field day in that animal market, don’t get me wrong I would love to have a squirrel as a pet, but it would be impossible here in Aussie land, interesting insight into Bali 👍🇦🇺

Spun me out the animals they had for sale….the owls…baby turtles…the bat…the coloured chickens…the huge lizards…they had everything there you could think off…and yep the RSPA would shut that down in no time…but hey it’s Bali it’s not Australia…

Fabolous Fabric shopping @ Sulewesi Street , across from Bandung Markets most shops alomg that shopping strip open around 10.00am Variety /choices is mind bogling. You have to be prepared to be hassled!!! big time . There are touts / ladies who get a commission from shop owners , they can be a real nuisance , pain in the bum, aggressive at times and very persisant-- glad to see Muzza and Vee didn"t have that issue I really enjoy a stroll along that area, a visit to Denpasar isnt complete with out a visit to Sulwesi St I get a driver for half a day, visit shops, have lunch at Hong Kong Chinese Resturant -- near Bandang day market or go later in the day and end up at Night Markets Either way a vist to Bali is complete with out a visit to Denpasar i don't visit the gold sellers so can commet

Great vid. Sad to see how those animals are kept. Some in the direct sun without shade options in their cages. Did you deliberately not show the monkeys?

When the gold lady gave you a price to buy at $100 per gram I'm assuming she meant Australian hundred as if she meant USA $100 per gram that is a lot more than current gold spot price. One of those big fat gold necklaces will do me if I'm feeling indulgent and reckless 😅

horrid, driving here is a nightmare because there are so many scooters on both sides of the car and you can never see them, Parking is also a nightmare. I have a car and we ONLY take it when we have to. it takes 15 mins to Kuta from here on a bike, and can easily be over 1 hour in a car

I find their attitude and treatment of animals to be both barbaric and inhumane. Why is it that Asian countries are all the same in this regard?
@MurrayWilkinson12 ай бұрын
1 man's meat is another man's poison. By your standards it is not right, by theirs it is survival.. Don't forget the Buddhist lady that spent over $100 on birds just to release them to the sky.
@Ludo-logy2 ай бұрын
@@MurrayWilkinson1 I have no problem with anyone needing to survive, but there are a lot more animals in these types of markets than are just for food. It's more about the conditions they are kept in and their treatment that I dislike. Yep, it's great that the Buddhist lady was releasing the birds, but at the same time they had to be caught and stored for her to do that, and many are caught specifically for this reason and other religious rituals. I've been to Japan, South Korea, China, Burma, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, so I'm well aware of the living condition and hardships that many people in these areas have to live. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't treat animals better .. having more of a Buddhist approach.
