I do a 20/4 fast. That means I eat once or twice a day. Can’t do dairy, beans, sugar (no açaí bowls either).. I live off of water, BBQ, like pork ribs, brisket, steak, chicken, turkey & fish like salmon, tuna, etc. I found a sugar free BBQ sauce that makes all the meats taste really good. I lost 5 pounds in a month & I was able to finally deflate my stomach so it doesn’t feel so bloated and tender. I also recommend green tea, probiotics, & a little miracle called Intestinal Edge on Amazon. If money isn’t an issue, get some MudWater and IBGard mint capsules while you’re at it. I was progressively getting worse for years until I switched to this. Now I feel 95% cured & my life is uninterrupted :) I will have a bowel movement or two in the morning & then a completely emptied and free stomach for the rest of the day. Eat between 6-10 PM, then wake up have a bowel movement and repeat :)

As much as I love this information, it also makes me extremely sad. My daughter was diagnosed at 10 and infusions of remicaid helped for almost 5 years. In the 2nd year she developed a skin infection that was resistant to treatment and ultimately spread. They took her off the remicaid due to this and it has been a nightmare ever since. She just turned 20 and has already had surgery for a blockage, losing 2 feet of her intestine. Stelara failed, steroids failed, fasting failed now her last hope humira failed. She now needs to get red blood cell transfusions. They want to do another surgery because her blockage has returned as has the skin infection. She is in constant pain and suffers from exhaustion. My heart is breaking for her because she is suffering from so many deficiencies, muscle spasms, hip pain, and passing blood for months. I need to help her feel better, I feel helpless. I just keep telling myself "it could be worse". Sorry for such a long post, just venting because a lot of people look at IBD as no big deal and I am tired of explaining it.

I had been on lots of different steroids which made my body blow up like a balloon, I had flare ups of psoriasis couldnt eat anything without being sick and felt that life wasnt worth living, but please believe me once your team of Dr's sort out the correct medication and diet etc. then you will gradually be able to adjust your lifestyle to what your body needs. It just takes time as we are all different. I pray for you.

I was diagnosed with Crohns disease 20 years ago. I stopped taking the medication that was prescribed to me due to the worse stomach cramps I got and it did not cure my symptoms. Agree this may have flared up due to high stress when both my parents passed away within months of each other and somehow its affected my gut. I have managed to keep this at bay but my last attack last year was the worst when I was losing a kilogram in weight within days. Over a course of 2 to 3 weeks I had lost almost 10kg. Got private MRI scan done only to be told to get an endoscopy done. I already had that done a long time ago and nothing was found at the time. When you're on a waiting list and your symptoms come and go theres no chance of finding what's going on. Anyway I found a great youtube video with someone with similar symptoms and followed their approach. I don't take and dairy products and stopped eating cheese products. I'm already a vegetarian. I also stopped eating oven chips as this seems to flare up my symptoms. Change in diet. Eat an avacoda a day. Eat blueberries every day. I eat 200grams per day. Bannanas Papaya Key fruit is pomegranate or pure 100% juice not from concentrate. This will help reduce frequent visits to the loo. Try eating or taking juice on alternate days. Dark chocolate is also good. I eat 90% dark chocolate - a small amount each day. Drink Kefir on daily basis. Jacket potatoes are safe but with no dairy or even baked beans initially. Cabbage in any form. I have also been on rice with tumeric in it with a curry for a long time. Youghert is fine. Stop eating meat initially and go on a simple diet. Stick to fish! Key is diet and staying away from dairy products. Exercise is a must - go walking for 40 mins to anything more active. I do HIIT exercise to build my core and help blood circulation. It's taken me almost a year to get my weight back to where it was and it's very slow recovery process. Do your own research, this is partly down to your microbiome, that is the bacteria in your gut. I've also discovered a vegan source of supplement which provides the 8 essential amnio acids with AAU value of 99% which provides the protein and body building blocks and this has helped in getting my gut healthy as well. Once your gut is back you need to try and stick to this new diet ! All the best.

Docs and so called experts are clueless! I was being poisoned for over ten years, internal abssces spreading through my body bursting and making more tracks, I had years of them telling me there was nothing wrong, loads of scans MRI, Cat scans, they kept blaming it on the endometriosis, which i knew it was not that, the pain was extreme, I had skin tags, fishers, fistulas, after ten years of agony one doc at the A&E found the first absscess, all the others were ignored even though they found that one they kept saying there still was nothing wrong, years later they found the others, two years in hospital three weeks at a time on drips antibiotics, each time they sent me home they said it was all sorted when I still had more inside me. All stemming from a huge one they though was part of my colon. I do not trust any of these so called bowel experts or docs or surgeons they think they know your body better than you do, and most think they are God. They even cover their asses and each others asses when they mess up, they do not take responsibility for their failings. They just fob you off. I have been on Remicade infusions for a while and in the past week I have switched to a whole food plant based diet to try to better manage my symptoms. I tried both Keto and Carnivore and even a protein smoothie diet in the last 6 months, but the nausea and abdominal pain persisted, so plant based is my only option left. I have had a lot of the complications (skin infections, fistulas between my skin and also my bladder, absesses, mouth sores, anemia and NAFLD). The one thing that you didn't mention was how Crohn's or the treatments for it can also cause chronic kidney disease as well.

Granted his first medical symptoms resulted in finding lymphocytic anemia that is often associated with cancer of some form. I was diagnosed in June of this year at the age of 21. My case is considered “mild.” I have been on Entyvio since diagnosis. So far, everything has been good but not great. Good and bad days here and there. However, over time I have gradually been feeling worse. My bathroom trips have been limited but I am having a much harder time going to the bathroom now. The fatigue is absolutely unbearable, my joints hurt non stop, I feel nauseous often, and I tend to have obstructive symptoms as well. I haven’t been able to put on any weight either ever since I was put on the biologic. All in all, my question is, has anyone been diagnosed with a mild case but felt like it isn’t exactly “mild” as time goes on? I am asking because I feel alone and defeated. Everyone I talk to say they know people who have it or I know people who suffer from it personally and say they respond to the meds they are given and it honesty makes me feel like I am weak and it’s all “in my head.” Deep down, I know how I feel and when I feel something isn’t right. I just want those (especially my family and friends) to understand without having to try and explain the situation.

After I got diagnosed with the mild disease I got myself checked for nutrition deficiency and restricted my food to only vegetarian- i started taking B12, omega 3 and other deficient nutrients via supplements. I also went straight to a psychologist and he also prescribed a lot of multivitamins and other psychiatry meds. After having all the meds, taking care of my food and light exercise everyday I am much better. We need meds to boost our mood, our nutrition and what not because our liver doesn't work properly and medical science doesnt know exactly what's wrong and it's better to just take supplements that are safe. Get checked for vitamin B12, D and thyroid function. It's better to live a good life for 30 years by having a lot of meds thn living for 60

Best description I’ve found, which randomly popped up in my recommended. This is long, sorry 🤷♀️ 🤔 I’ll be 37 in October. I have to believe that stress and emotional trauma are triggers, especially for those of us who are extremely tuned into others emotions around us. Since childhood, any worry or anxiety, even as simple as being homesick, would send me into a day of intense vomiting. I had trauma and fear as a child. Learned to cope by distracting my thoughts, but physically, there was always a reaction of some sort to appear. When I hit 20, more stomach issues begin with college/relationship stress. Also had an outbreak of canker sores covering my throat (never had 1 prior)… doctor gave NOTHING for treatment so it caused trauma to my cranial nerve and Bell’s palsy showed it’s ugly face taking over mine… back to normal after a few months but damaging to my insecurities…. Age 24 my fiancé of 8yrs had an affair 6 months prior to our wedding. Shorty after, I had food poisoning and never seemed to recover. Went MONTHS vomiting everyday, extreme stomach pain, consistent diarrhea… went to Drs multiple times and was then diagnosed with C-Diff (even though most common symptoms weren’t there). Lost about 50lbs fast. IBS like symptoms never stopped. Age 25, met my husband. Lost our 1st baby (ectopic pregnancy) and left tube removed. Next pregnancy high risk and born 7 weeks early. Dr left placenta in me during CS, became septic and had to have D&C. 2 miscarriages. Another pregnancy, complete placenta previa so CS at 37 weeks. But during this pregnancy, my big brothers heart had enlarged from having strep (throat) enter his blood stream, flu also… causing his heart to give up, age 33. I held in my emotions and took the role of caring for my family through it all. But the reaction hit later… started losing clots of blood while using bathroom. Gastro doctor diagnosed me with ‘possible’ ischemic colon but ‘keep an eye on symptoms.’ Later then went to ER with extreme abdominal pain with no relief and blood again. CT scan, diagnosed with an inflamed colon…ulcerative colitis. Sh!t you not… couple months ago had extreme flank pain on right side, vomiting from pain, kept getting worse… went to Dr who sent me to ER for gallbladder. CT scan and ultrasound showed “sludgy gallbladder” but no stones, a small kidney stone (1st 1 I’m aware of), and an ovarian cyst (normal kind women get that usually come and go). Sent home with meds and no one discussed the kidney stone. 2 months later, same flank pain but on left side, one day of pain throughout entire chest, shoulders, right collarbone horribly, and entire abdomen… sweats and vomiting until pain subsided. Kidney pain stayed for couple weeks (still having it). Other symptoms I’ve had I didn’t know were even associated with Chrons until now: Would have what dr believed to be a ‘cold sore’ appear on my flipping CHIN. It was huge but never actually tested in a lab. Never had one on my lips. Hasn’t happened in forever thankfully! Ugh. I am covered in bruises. My boys are 7 & 5 so that explains a lot of them…but If I scratch too hard, I bruise. I get light headed easily. My lower belly bloats after I eat anything. I’ve lost 20lbs in the last 3 months alone. Few years ago, I was put on Adderall when I said I could hardly focus anymore, foggy mind, exhausted all the time. I have arthritis pain in my wrists, fingers, knees, and ankles. I’ve had random tiny cyst like lumps pop up in random places on my legs and arms. Mild fever on/off for years and dr always said 99 isn’t a fever, but when I always read in 97s that’s a mild fever for me, that caused headaches. 2 UTIs in the last 2 years for the 1st time ever. Sooooo…. I’m starting to be curious if the dots are connecting. 🤔 Thanks for reading

Have you ever got a colonoscopy? This definiely sounds like Crohns. I have celiac and my symptoms are pretty similar aside from from the lumps and the bleeding. I mostly just have gas and bloating all the time. You should try cutting out gluten tho as it has helped many people with digestive disorders. I would get a blood test if I were you. Get an IBD panel and a Celiac panel just for the hell of it, see if you test positive for any of the anti-bodies. Good luck to you and I hope things get better.

@@antoinettegarcia7535 Thank you! Surprisingly, above isn’t even 1/2 of the medical problems I’ve had…surgeries, lost multiple babies, preemie baby, pregnancy complications…. But thats all separate from possible chrons. I know diet is important. I’d like to cut out gluten but that’s the main thing I eat at this point 😆 meat seems more difficult to digest so I usually just have eggs from my chickens for protein. Otherwise, it’s vegetables, fruits, yogurt, and breads. I’m afraid I’d lose too much weight. I need a new doctor also. Acidosis through incorrect diets. Just about all degenerative diseases can be traced back to acidosis. Inflammation is just the presence of high acidity (hence the burning sensation) in the cells due to backed up lymphatics. Eat alkalizing foods and you will repair and regenerate your gut and body. This is a simplification but is essentially what is happening. Stress is acid forming, so that will certainly exacerbate acidosis.

I realized mine began with a latex food allergy that I didnt identify until I was 40. In order to stay in “remission” I have to cook 98% of my food because even a little of something that I cant eat sends me into a flare. A single sesame seed sent me into a Crohn’s attack once. My flares are much milder and shorter now that I know that I have an allergy to damn near every fruit on the planet and since I started glutathione and a digestive enzyme. This has been a painful journey but I have finally figured out how to manage and not starve to death. I was already small but I scared myself with how much weight I’d lost. Yes Crohns is inconvenient as hell but it is manageable. Prep your food so that you are never hungry and tempted to eat questionable foods. Drink lots of water with some being with lemon so that you dont pee it straight out. Take a digestive enzyme. Take a probiotic. Pay attention to how you feel when you eat foods. The slightest irritation can still cause inflammation.
@dianamoore48223 жыл бұрын
What digestive enzyme and probotic do you use?
@EbsMileHighAdventure3 жыл бұрын
@@dianamoore4822 I use Digest Gold enzyme and the probiotic is a refrigerated Sprouts (local grocery store in LA) probiotic called Quattro complex. The real game changer for me was Methyl Folate (folic acid). I was producing acid while I slept and didnt know why. I was reading through some blood work that I had done and saw that I was folate deficient (the doctor never even mentioned it) and so I went and got the folate myself and it all but stopped the acid at night.

@@EbsMileHighAdventure That's interesting and thank you for the reply! What was happening when your body was producing acid while you slept? Sorry for all the questions. I am trying to understand some of my issues. Going to a doctor never helps.
@EbsMileHighAdventure3 жыл бұрын
@@dianamoore4822 I definitely trust my body at this point more than doctors. I’m not exactly sure but I believe it was folate anemia. Acid would come up while I slept even when I wasnt eating food before bed. It would happen before and after I ate during the day. Eventually it caused an ulcer and I had a burning sensation in the middle right above my navel. The ulcer ruptured and I ended with hyperthyroidism. My thyroid was fine, it was however responding to the ulcer rupture. Doctors tried to get me to remove my thyroid but I felt like that it wasn’t that and so I stalled. They prescribed a med for acid that was harsh and so I tweaked it with OTC Pepcid. I healed the ulcer on a low sodium diet and using Pepcid AC for a week or so but the acid started to come back as soon as I finished the protocol. I went and had blood work done AGAIN because I felt like I had a deficiency of some sort. Of course the doctors always say everything looks fine (until it doesnt). I checked my labs/numbers myself and I realized that even if you are very low on the ‘within range’ that some doctors will still say you are within range and not address it. I think a few of my numbers including folate was at the very lowest number. I basically had a folate deficiency. Once I started taking the methyl folate on my own my acid reflux went away after a few days. I had been dealing with acid reflux for 9 YEARS so I was shocked to say the least that it was something so simple after all of this time. I still continue my probiotics and I’ve had allergy tests so that I can avoid foods causing inflammation while I heal and try and get back to zero.

As a young child, I watched a very close family member suffer through Crohn's...25-different bowel surgeries, one suicide attempt, who ended up dying at 50 from it, weighing only 76-pounds (they had basically, no digestive system left)...it was at that point I took the rock-solid perspective, I WOULD NEVER suffer through what they did...that my 'NO' would start, when they wanted to remove bowel sections...if my family member would have done this, their first 'bad bout' of it in 1972 would have also been their last...their life (with medical aid) was absolute misery! I am now almost 60, and have 'some symptoms'...but my resolve is no different...I had a very broad, enlightened and fun life...I will not end it, being a bag of bones and fluid, poured into a plastic bag for burial...period.

My 8 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Crohns after suffering a flare in September 2023. But this flare up was different because she was being treated with 4 month refampin therapy (antibiotic) for latent tb. On her 2nd month of antibiotic therapy, they had suspected osteomyelitis in her foot. So they added a month on IV antibiotic along with the refampin antibiotic for the "osteomyelitis infection" she got worse!!!! crp kept going up, they kept taking her into surgery to clean out the "infection" in her foot. But come to find out, it was never a infection, she was having bouts of systematic sterile inflammation and antibiotics was making her worse. I'm so angry the hospital made her worse. So we stopped her antibiotics (lots of drs were angry we stopped antibiotics) and she is slowly getting better. now she has a messed up foot, cannot walk. Her GI dr said he never had a crohns patient with these weird manifistations of bone lesions and aseptic abscesses in their body, so I am thinking the antibiotics messed her up in this rare case of problems. 4 months later, multiple bopsy surgeries, and multiple dr visits for different opinions, no one can tell me what is going on with my daughter. All we can find is crohns disease and a bout of inflammation in her body. idk what to do. right now she is not on any medication, only on a strict anti-inflammatory diet to see if that helps. Tomorrow we see a rheumatologist to see what they think.

I used to suffer from embarrassing mouth ulcers when I was younger as well as bloated bowels although I never had flatulence, diarrhoea or pain. I became a vegetarian and it’s now 20 years that I have been mouth ulcer free. Over the last two years I developed frequent bowel movements and flatulence if not diarrhoea and I put that down to hypertension and anxiety and I thought I might have developed irritable bowel syndrome as a result. When my blood tests indicated lower than normal iron and magnesium levels, as well as vitamin D, I swapped out pasta and potatoes with beans and cauliflower, broccoli and other of vegetables I was not normally eating. I also cut out cakes and pastries. My last blood test indicated that my magnesium and iron levels had jumped up significantly however now I have posterior nosebleeds that take about 20 minutes to clot. I attribute this to high blood pressure as a result of both pain and hypertension, although pain and inflammation is probably as a result of hypertension rather than nutrient deficiency. I don’t have bloated bowels anymore although I have flatulence. I might have early stages of Crohn’s disease or I might be prone to developing it. So far I think I am managing it well. Certainly hypertension and anxiety exacerbate irritable bowels.

I have yet to find a doctor who looks at the cause , every hospital patient is money for them, how sad to take away that young man's body parts then put him on medication for life , further harming him and more money for them, so we must take care of ourselves and not hand over our power so easily, we were not born with illness so what happened along the way ? Many illnesses can be parasites, our food is full of chemicals so that it can sit on a supermarket shelf for a long time, no air to it, no light, no sun, if we don't eat food with energy as we use to then how do we feed our organs and cells, our water is also full of chemicals fluoride is more toxic than lead, yet we pile our poor bodies with chemicals and expect a miracle, the food they sell now is a business manufactured on taste so we buy more, when are bodies are undernourished it breaks down, the doctors will give it a name but in fact we need no complicated names it is simple a body break down and crying out for attention, it really is time to get back to nature and eat from mother earth if we can't buy it then we grow it , if we don't have a garden then grow in tubs at least we must try, the medicines and the food industries are so wealthy it is beyond our comprehension yet we all get sick at some point in our lives, they don't want us to get well because then there would be no need for them,,

I had surgery four years after my diagnosis and was able to stay in remission for 10 years without any pain or the need for medication. I’ve had 3 relapses since which lasted about a week each time. If anybody can suggest any diet tips for maintaining remission it would be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I got into vitamins and food. First thing I noticed was fish oil for inflammation, at least 4 capsules a day if not 6. I have problems with liver, digesting protein, and a lot of uti. I don’t eat wheat, causes some liver problems, it’s just useless empty calories anyways. Keep sugar or juice to a minimum. Sweet tooth, eat some fruit, with all the fiber that comes with it. I take pepsin with meals to help digest protein, or it just gets carried through and creates excess ammonia in stool, also take citrulline in powder not capsule to help with ammonia. No coffee, creates to much havoc with the bowel speed up. Been drinking kombucha, seems to help with stomach culture. Just started with culturelle, ibs complete support, has a complex sugar that is in breast milk that is not digestible by humans it meant for specific bacteria for babies to cultivate. UTI problem I had bought new drawers, but they were mostly polyester, they were a Petri dish they made it worse. Cotton was ok, I got bamboo rayon which seems better. Silk, wool, natural fibers are less likely to grow bacteria. What you breathe in gets filtered into the sinuses, pets, clothes, bedding, other people, and your house can contribute to what’s in your gut. Also take like upto 3000mg of vitamin c a day. I was getting signs of scurvy at 1000mg(during a purple potato kick). Sun bathing, southern USA has less instance of crohns, could be a few things, more vitamin D, melatonin, and nitric oxide. Melatonin has been linked to more than just sleep aid. Anti inflammatory, antioxidant and the majority of it is in the intestines.

I have a perforated bowel the ended up connecting to the small intestine. I had two G.I.'s tell me nothing was wrong with me, and it took a professor of medicine who went deep inside the bowl to find the large and small intestine infused together. What was bad, was doctors were giving me prednizone for nearly 10 years, and I slammed higher dosages trying to control the disease. I remember shaking from emotional duress caused by prednizone. The G.I. I had for years, said I had minor colitis and scar tissue, until the professor of medicine G.I. said otherwise, telling me I had a rare type of crohn's disease in both the upper and lower track. Going on 25 years now, 13 years on remicade.

@@davidoladapo8339 I nearly died from it. I got Crohn's through severe food poisoning and didn't change my diet and ate nothing but sugar and an infection ate right through my small instantizes along a 9 inch swath. My intestines, sepsis set in and all yellow crap flowed out of my intestines. It was the worst pain I ever had. I get in the hospital and instead of doing surgery I get cipro and flagyl and a week later they send me home and I nearly died at home. It took me another 8 years to finally get surgery for a total blockage from nothing but scar tissue. For me I pooped yellow and then about a year later it turned to pooping green that's when I knew something was very wrong but I was working 70 hours a week and never had time to go to the doctor. In 2005 my intestines split along a 9 inch swath and that's when I ended up in the hospital but didn't get surgery until 8 years after that in 2013. For those 8 years I was bed ridden. I smoked and I think that was the reason they didn't do surgery in 2005 but I nearly died in 2005 because they didn't do surgery after my intestines split.

I unfortunately have this awful disease. I was first with it in 2013, then didn't get the right treatment till 2015, and now I'm in remission from my Crohn's. Remicade infusions are amazing. UPDATE: I found out in October I didn't need to be on the medications I was on. I was misdiagnosed yet again. Now, I am looking at surgery when I get health insurance to fix 2 fistulas.

I was on Humira for 3 years. Been off it for almost a year and feel good except for a flare up on rare occasions. I chose Humira over Remicade because it only takes a minute every 2 weeks to give myself a poke as opposed to the time spent getting an infusion. I'm glad Remicade works for you. Suffering IBD symptoms really sucks. Best of health to you.

Since I stop eating gluten and tried several different types of diets. I’ve had the best results when eating ketogenic all my bloating is gone and way less gas. I do take Humira every 2 weeks. I believe I would be ok if I stoped taking it as long as I stayed on my diet. My question is have any of you changed your diet and had success while stopping your medication? A lot of functional medicine that I’m aware of doesn’t really talk about stoping your meds or if it interferes with healing gut microbiom. I’m interested in hearing some of your successes. Thank you

This video is very much explicit. Thanks for this. I have had all these symptoms for a very long time about 20 years and its been really frustrating trust me! Sadly enough, each time i went to the hospital the doetors never diagnosed me of any inflammatory bowel disease. They kept giving me other medications and a whole lot of pain killers. I started doing research on Google about my symptoms and what i got is very similar to the symptoms you have cited with just one difference: I don't get diarrhea, most of my life l have had constipation lasting for four days at least. When i was pregnant, l never pooed normally; i pooed with the help of laxatives due to extreme constipation. My question is, could l be suffering from chrons ? If yes why don't i get diarrhea which is one of the predominant symptoms?
