It took you 2 days to get tired of the sandy whoops? Wow take me about 20 minutes. You were down here in Feb, the weather is nice then, come on down around May-Sept and its 105. This is a great place to get run into by another bike, happens all the time.
@SkinnySkinch5 жыл бұрын
hahahah I mean yeah 20 minutes does me in too then its just old man pace the rest of the 2 days. I used to live in South FL and Croom was the only place to ride so id make the haul a few times a year. hadn't been in years until this video I miss that place tha MX track they built then realized they couldn't find volunteers is a shame It had just been finished when I was there but nobody allowed to ride it

@@P4ddyC4ke Haha thanks. You definitely should. Croom is very fun. Especially when they groom it. They are opening a nice little motocross track in about 4 weeks as well which looked really cool. If you like riding in sand it's a great time.

Awesome to see you back riding! I’m jealous this place looks like my dream place to ride!! Nothing more fun then a 300 2 stroke in sand but the big 4 strokes are quicker sadly and easier to ride at speed but I’m back on a new 19 300xc this year keep an eye on my channel trying to upload vids as much as I can. Stay safe can’t wait to watch your race vids
@SkinnySkinch5 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! and yes it is basically a dirt bike heaven. A LOT of whoops though so that will take the fun away from a lot of people. Yeah a 450 would dominate this place. I used to ride here years ago when I lived in FL on a KTM 450 and it ate that place up. perfect bike for it. I still prefer my 2 strokes though. I'll def keep an eye on it. I have notifications on for your channel I watch most of your vids man that '19 looks sweet! Stay safe brother

Man it's good to see you back on the bike uploading again. Sorta thought maybe you got knocked up and was on maternity leave. A couple of questions that I have. First of all during a race you talk your head off but during a weekend pleasure ride you say nothing???? Second question I have, seen you take on some mighty tough dudes during a race and never even stumble but you let a 8 year old girl take you out???? Yea I find closing my eyes during a ride usually doesn't work well for me either. Leave it to you to find a mountain in Florida. Yes I ribbed you hard on this one but I had to make up for lost time hahaha. Good luck this season and looking forward to watching. Stay safe

Tankerman skinny has videos being made about him?! Danngggg that’s pretty sweet! I think he talks more during a race cause he’s driving towards a goal and pushing for focus or working on a skill ... usually yelling at himself about his forearms 🤣 or hollering hi 👋 at me and I think he’s trying to pass me. I second that it’s good to see him back on the bike 👍🏻 no paternity leave ... yet.

Don't know which is more dangerous racing or trails??? I'm sure you checked the Rekluse settings, strange for it to kill the motor although mine did that on a long steep downhill in AZ. but I think I did not have the throttle open enough. Waiting for your new race season to roll out good luck.

How does the pds suspension feel in those sandy corners? I love to let the tail slide out in those. That quad sure did come out of nowhere!
@SkinnySkinch5 жыл бұрын
PDS felt really good actually which kind of surprised me... I turned my high speed up and all my adjusters pretty stiff though in preparation for this trip I know how whooped out this place is. My suspension has been revalved and I had my high speed at 3/4 turn from closed and rebound and compression clickers at 8 clicks. Haha yeah I should have been looking out better I wasn't thinking about 2 way trails in that moment like an idiot lol.
@01camarosspower4 жыл бұрын
Would you still buy the xc-w over the xc? looks like the suspension is working really good for you!
@SkinnySkinch4 жыл бұрын
Cole Graham honestly man after riding an XC I would never buy the XCW again. If you just want to putt putt around on trails the XCW is fine but as soon as you start picking up speed the suspension struggles badly compared to an XC.

My biggest worry when riding is a head on collision around a blind corner like that. From videos I have seen you got pretty lucky with that one
@SkinnySkinch5 жыл бұрын
Yes I got very lucky. was dumb of me to be riding like that around blind corners. most of the trails at Croom you can see through the woods for any oncoming traffic but this area was definitely blind corners. Luckily we both were not going very fast.

How's the bike working for you? Any hiccups or issues? I've seen a few failures being splashed around on youtube but it seem the majority of owners don't have issues and the technology is holding up well. Still I'm a bit wary because of these reported failures. Like to see you do a review after "X" hours of ownership and your experience.
@SkinnySkinch5 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Bike is holding up absolutely perfectly. My theory on what you see online is the two fold. A) these bikes are insanely popular everyone has one and it's NEW with NEW technology so that is why you see SO many opinions about it online. B) human beings by nature will go out of their way to tell the world about a bad experience they had, but don't spend any time telling people they bought something and it worked as expected. 99.99% of TPIs out there are running perfectly. It's that 0.01% that everyone is seeing. I will definitely do one of those reviews on the bike at the end of this season. I will have roughly 100-120 hours on the bike by the end of this upcoming race season and I was planning to do my top end and oil pump then. You see a lot of videos on people saying the bikes are hard to start, have to kick it 100 times in the cold and e start wont work etc etc etc for reference I have put 60 hours on my bike and not once have i used the kick starter to start my bike. It has started on the first press of the e start every single time even when cold since day one. Honestly runs WAY better than my 2018 TX300 w/ a lectron did. Starts easier, faster, runs better, feels smoother, more electric like power. Im not trying to sound like some TPI fan boy but i am seriously so impressed with this motor and i have owned a ton of different bikes.
@thegan91435 жыл бұрын
@@SkinnySkinch I can appreciate your enthusiasm, I feel the the same way about my 400 hour 500exc that has never been to the dealer and has all original motor, including clutch. This on a bike that has spent 90% of those hours in the dirt. I also agree that those that shell out $10k and experience a failure are pissed and telling everyone about it, rightfully so. I was interested in what was being said, looking for common themes but not overly concerned until a friend with a 250 tpi talked about their issues. Didn't stop them from picking up a new 300 tpi bike though. Thanks for the reply.
