Homework answer--- Harvesting- cutting and gathering of crops, after maturation, is known as harvesting. Fruits harvesting is done by hand picking and crops by sickles. After harvesting grains separated from cut crop called threshing by thresher. In larger fields combine is used that is used for harvesting and threshing simultaneously Storage- The grains are sun dried to prevent them from microbes and then store them. Farmer store for their own use and sell it to governments or private agencies. Large scale storing is done in granaries and silos which protect grains from rat and insects which is done by FCI and state warehousing corporations. Storage is the process in which grains are stored on large scale in granaries or silos , protecting from rats , micro-organisms ,pests and moisture . To tackle with the moisture we need to dry the grains in sunlight. Harvesting is the process in which we cut down the matured crops after they had fully grown.
