OMG I need to do the same to my gun. With this video you put out, I'm going to try this. It's all the little parts that scare me. Thanks for the step by step guide and how calm you sound. You are great.

Seeing you do this gave me the courage to try disasembling and fixing my Dan Wesson 6 inch Revolver. As it was leaking right where the hammer hits. After taking it apart and lubricating all the seals thoroughly, I was able to fix mine up. Great video

Thanks for watching. The parts have been ordered and hoping to get them within the next 2 weeks. Then the fun begins.

Youd think for a 70$ air pistol that valve would be so much stronger. Ive replaced all the seals and valves twice but here i am now seeing if theres other things people have done to get these to work again. The vigilante is the first crosman ive ever had to work on 😢
@airgunshootingandoutdoorch42606 ай бұрын
Chendo I agree but the reality is that we live in a time where Corporations are outsourcing manufacturing to the lowest bidder. I have found that the seals coming from China are substandard to those produced in the west. I normally stick with Crosman products because of the availability of after market parts and assy. I got a 357 SIX from between 1983 and 1987, and after I replaced the seals, it works great. Better performance than a modern vigilante.

Wow, that brass tube came off both ends quite easily, how did it Ever hold the Co2 pressure..

Sorry for he delay. I was away from home a while. Once reattached the whole assembly, when inserted in the action, fits so tight that the brass tube cannot move in any direction. Thanks for watching and commenting👍👍

2:07 *this was stressfull even through the screen! Haha* _I ended up ordering my 2240 from somewhere else so I didn't get the chance to order spare parts for my Vigilante... But I sure want to now that I know somewhat how it works 😁_

Thanks Lowkey.👍👍 Using that C clip pliers is key to getting the job done. I anticipate a problem in reassembly as we will have to depress the valve stem while inserting the C clip. No sweat! I have a plan but you will have to wait for the next video. HaHaHa!😁
What are the part numbers or link to the parts I need to fix this gun?

Is it possible to modify the valve assembly to gain fps from some guns?
@airgunshootingandoutdoorch426011 ай бұрын
I don't think there's much you can do with CO2 pistols except try to put more tension on the hammer or shoot them in a very warm environment. Also pause 10 to 15 seconds between shots to give the valve time to recover from the cold CO2 passing through it. Tweaking valves to gain fps is more of a PCP thing.

i found my dads crosman 357 and it leaked all co2. really helpful video thanks for sharing
@airgunshootingandoutdoorch4260 Жыл бұрын
Just use some silicone grease or Crosman Pellgun oil on all the seals when assembling them and everytime you insert a new CO2 cartridge put 1 drop of pellgun oil on the tip of the new cartridge . Once pierced, the CO2 will blow the oil through the valves and help to seal them from leaking.. Check out the other 2 videos. They will help you with the repair. Thanks for liking, sharing and subscribing. All the best, Pete
