I love it that you're modifying an expensive truck that many would leave standard 👍 🍺🇬🇧

I've got quite a bit of positive responses on the modifications I've done. It definitely performs way better than stock. I have plenty of other modifications that I have planned. Nearly everyone I know modifies their RC's. The essence of the Maz will always be intact...I'll never modify it to the point that you won't know what it is. Keeping it stock is ok too....its your rig. Thanks for watching.

For what you get, it's worth it. The aluminum and medal parts aren't Vanquish quality but still pretty damn good.

Nice work Tom! The stock front bumper makes a great plow but thats about it. Bobbing the rear of the chassis is pretty helpful, I found it was a snag point too. I also made up some (3D printed) flat fenders replace the dropped fenders in the middle of the truck, I used to get hung up on those from time to time. It turns out I'm not actually able to make it to PLBTF this year, have fun!
@tomlucasrccrawlers91083 жыл бұрын
Hey Casey. Thats a real bummer you can't make it to Pro-Line. I think that would've been fun hanging out and a blast driving two Mammoth's on one of the big trails. I don't have a 3D printer so I'll most likely make flat plate(between the two middle axle)by hand. I forgot...what 550 brushed Holmes motor you running and what the turn-count?
@humboldtef3 жыл бұрын
@@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 I had a 27T torquemaster HH brushed motor, but I've wanted the revolver since you mentioned it. I Just recently grabbed a 1450kv Revolver Classic once i saw "up to 40lbs" on the listing. I already had a Mamba X monster ESC so I didnt need to upgrade that. The added drag brake strength is the biggest change I noticed, before it wasn't quite strong enough and now its more than adequate. Anyway I'm really enjoying the revolver in this thing.
@tomlucasrccrawlers91083 жыл бұрын
Wow! Going to the Revolver 540L is a huge jump in power. Great choice. I already broke a axle shaft with the stock motor and a transmission shaft with the smaller 1000kv Revolver....tho , I'm going to eventually get the bigger 1450 540L...I don't know if it'll go in the Mammoth. I'm thinking of putting it in King Midas 6x6. Well...congratulations on that massive motor upgrade. Hahaha...again...that's a huge jump. When are you going to do a video? I'd like to see it run at that offroad place you did a video at awhile back.
@humboldtef3 жыл бұрын
@@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 I've been lucky and haven't broken anything beyond lights and the little handles. I do put it to the test and pretend its a crawler but I try to stop before I get too carried away. I have been planning to put together a video with the revolver motor eventually just haven't gotten around to it. I do stick to 2S BTW, 3S is way too fast for mine.
@tomlucasrccrawlers91083 жыл бұрын
I don't have any 2S. Hahaha. I mean...there's two of them sitting on the tailgate of my truck in the garage but they haven't held a charge in years....I primarily use them in my Summit. That 1450kv is nearly a third higher than my 1000kv motor. Your probably close to the same speed I am on 3S....mine is perfect...perfect amount of speed, torque and everything else...so I totally get not wanting to run 3s. Just think....these motors would be fine on 4s and I'm sure would handle 5s occasionally. Hahaha....that'd be crazy.

Very nice, it is super expensive truck!
@tomlucasrccrawlers91083 жыл бұрын
It is at that. Out the gate it's my most expensive rig. Once you factor in...that you really don't have to upgrade anything...just buy the radio and esc...it runs about the same as the rest of my rigs. I know "King Midas 6x6", my first 10 year old Trailfinder and the "Killer Wasp TRX4" have the about the same amount of dollars in them.

@@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 Would be cool if you make military missile trailer for Cross BC8 Mammoth.
@tomlucasrccrawlers91083 жыл бұрын
@@jdpaslRC I'll probably make a good-sized trailer later. But I highly doubt it'll be the Cross trailer...that thing is really nice with a really nice price tag.

Very noisy motor... 😅
@tomlucasrccrawlers9108 Жыл бұрын
It is...it acts as a speaker from whatever type of power it gets from the esc. I've ran 6 or 7 different esc's, and the outrunners make a different noise with every esc. One new esc out that have the new FOC makes the outrunner super quite. John Holmes has an old esc that's no longer sold, I have a couple. I put the esc in "Dithered" mode and it runs pretty quite with no wine but. It's a very unique sound.
