I love all of this. I remember doing something we called mud, sweat, and cheers and it was pretty funny to watch JVs race because they didn’t give a crap unlike the varsity team. JV was doing flips and crap and I had a high intensity screaming at the mud puddles. Ended up winning but some guys turned completely brown by the end and others lost their entire spikes and socks

As a person in XC legit the sec I finished I fell and the assistants at the line barely held me up. Funny thing is during the race I never felt like just falling so the adrenaline 4 me is insane (I got 32 outta 250 so happy but shoulda got 20)
