Gunny is just lucky so far. I just smile at the don’t quit and you won’t get old crowd. Sooner or later age, health, or injuries, catch up with everyone. Always remember, no one gets out alive and unscathed, no one. It’s not that big of a deal, just don’t let it catch you off guard. I’m 67, with congestive heart failure. Cardiologist gives me 2-4 years. Had to give up the bicycle after a lifetime of racing and riding, probably nearly 200,000 miles, but I rode my new motorcycle over 22,000 miles in the last year. Could tell on the last trip I’m close to giving up the motorcycle. No depression or despair, I have 3 wonderful adult children, and a terrific wife. It’s all been a good ride :) P.S. I’ve been on some of the same roads in the last year 👍

I've done an 8000 "miler", from Atlanta up to Glacier National, Seattle, down to L.A., and back through the desert southwest. On a motorcycle is the only way to get to know this lady called America. When you breathe air from 19 states in three weeks, and sleep under the stars, you fall in love with a two wheeled life.

This is, without a doubt, the most breathtaking video I’ve ever seen on KZbin showcasing the beauty of this great nation, the United States of America. Your journey from San Diego to California, through Colorado and beyond, captures some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever laid eyes on. The way you’ve managed to tell this story with just one camera is nothing short of masterful. The tranquility, freedom, and sheer majesty of these sights are inspiring, and your dedication to documenting every moment-from the travels to the editing-is deeply appreciated. Watching this has ignited a desire in me to take this very route someday and experience these places for myself. I pray that God blesses me with the opportunity to make this dream a reality. Thank you for every second of effort you poured into this video. It’s not just a ride-it’s a true work of art and inspiration. One of the greatest things a person can accomplish is to find peace and adventure on the open road, and you’ve shown just how extraordinary that can be. Bravo!

Philosophical reflections: Great rides JT. I'm 60 now and have been roaming around the US on HD touring bikes since the late 90's. One of my favorite trips was Vegas to Sturgis (went 10 years in a row with pals), then from Sturgis to the top of Maine just for fun. A little town called Fort Kent on the Canadien border. Me and my buddy had breakfast at a little joint across the street from the international point of entry to Canada then road home to Vegas. I have been on all those open roads in the west that you rode going home to NY. The west is beautiful. After well over 200k miles on the highway I can tell you that being on the bike for days at a time straightens your head out. On the road is where I have done my best thinking. Keep riding JT. It's a way of life.
@nooowhere_mann48482 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the self reflection. That’s what I’ve gathered from being on the road. There’s such a peace and serenity about just getting out there and going. I hope I live to see 60, man the stories I’d have at that point. I’ll make sure to check out Fort Kent.🤘🏻🤘🏻

I was riding my bike to Madawaska, Maine, and another biker flagged me down. I pulled over, and he was doing to four corner points in The United States. One was Madawaska, ME where one of the statues sits. He didn't go as far as Fort Kent. I'd love to be able to be able to do that. Too bad I'm dealing mostly with medical issues. I still have a VTX1300 though I don't ride very much due to medical issues. 3 major surgeries in the past 3 years, and one was for a Liver Transplant. I have one more operation to go, and I hope I can take a trip somewhere. I have all my camping gear, but too damn weak to do anything right now. Live to ride! Ride to live!

Of course, I want to visit Rhode Island more too as well as Massachusetts. My direct ancestor was on The Mayflower, and his father was The Last Protestant Martyr during The European Persecutions during The Protestant Reformation Era since the First Protestant Martyr John Rogers (John Rogers/ Christianity Dot). Oh...they were the reasons why Roger Williams *University came out with The Separation of Church & State that years later transcended down into our U.S. 1st Amendment between The Danbury Baptist Association & Thomas Jefferson in 1802-3. Rev. Edward Wightman's son, John Wightman a.k.a. Johannis Wightman had a son, Rev. George Wightman had sons named Rev. John Wightman & Rev. Valerntine Wightman (Valentine buried in The Wightman Cemetery in Groton, CT). Valentine married Susannah Holmes, daughter of Mary Holmes, daughter of Mary Sayles, daughter of Roger Williams *University (History Dot Com). Susannah Holmes also fell under Obadiah Holmes. (Obadiah Holmes / Christianity Dot Com). Oh...The Protestant Reformation (National Geographic) took place after Pope Leo X's corruption in 1514 which led to Martin Luther's 95 Theses who was the first to translate The New Testament into German. Of course, William Tyndale, around that same time, was the first to translate The New Testament into English from Greek (Latin). William Tyndale's New Testament became The King James Version of The New Testament who was also burned at the stake in 1536. Same year that King Henry The VIII's 2nd wife was executed by King Henry The VIII, Anne Boleyn. Of course, King Henry The VIII turned against Pope Clemens VII & also executed Catholic Monks known as The Carthusian Martyrs of London while he founded The Church of England (Protestant due to Anne Boleyn). National Geographic also has a good article on Anne Boleyn, but they don't mention The Carthusian Martyrs of London or George Boleyn as The Tudor Society out of London mentions today. Of course, their society is based on Mary Tudor also known as Queen Mary The 1st. She had John Rogers burned at the stake in 1555 by Queen Mary 1st's order after King Henry The VIII died in January of 1547. John Rogers was the first of many Protestant Martyrs to follow which led to the time of The European Persecutions (*U.S. Library of Congress: America as a Refuge - The Seventeenth Century Part I). Of course, King James The II was removed before The American Revolution & replaced by Prince William or Orange also known as Prince William The III when Edward Cook (New World Encyclopedia) came out with The Parliament Bill of Rights. The European Persecutions also led to The Great Puritan Migration under "English Minister John Smyth" (New World Encyclopedia) whose followers Puritans, set out to convince other Puritans & Protestants of forming a Pilgrimage before he died in 1612 in Amsterdam. Oh...Pilgrims gathered there as well as in Holland, 40 miles away before boarding The Mayflower in Scrooby, England late in September of 1620 due to repairs needed to The Mayflower.

I had, 2, 3 hole oil changes while on the road. I went down every 2 lane scenic back road I could find. The most I rode in one day didn't exceed 300mi. I wasn't in a hurry either. My interstate miles didn't go past 300mi, if that. What I always tell people about riding, is that you can't be in a hurry. East through Canada, enter the US at Niagara Falls, go south to the FL Keys up the West side of Florida, into the Pan Handle, go north on the Natchez Trace parkway, go west into the Rookies and south from Colorado into AZ. Awesome ride! In 2015 I left on a solo 32 state,8400 mile lap around the country …..It was May so I had rain,snow,hail and a tornado in Oklahoma to deal with…These kind of memories last a lifetime…😎👍

Absolutely EPIC! Instant sub! Like another commenter, I have watched tens of hours of motorcycle videos. This one and your trip out to CA are BY FAR the best I've seen. In addition to having what I assume is a solid titanium ass, your filming, narration, editing, music selection, is well above 98% of the drivel on YT. Very real, very grounded. I have SO MANY questions but will hold for now and just stay in the moment of enjoyment as I watch this for the 3rd time. Maybe we'll cross path on a Blue Highway. If so, 1st and 2nd cold one is on me.

This video was very well produced and the soundtrack was awesome! I know exactly what you mean by not taking the pictures was like not being there..I did a solo 9960 miler from NJ during August and September of this year, and she pressured me every day for the family blog. But it was all good. Family and friends said I'm crazy , at age 62. But then there are others that said I'm fuckin badass!! I prefer the second!! What started off as a Sturgis ride grew by miles!!! I need to check out your other videos and subscribe, especially if your talking Alaska. Ride on buddy......
