I also use a proper barometric altimeter as I fly in complicated airspace and I have compared GPS altitude vs barometric and the GPS error is enough that I could bust airspace, also I have an EPIRB, push the button and here comes the rescue chopper.

Our advice is to do a hang test first once you've fitted all of your extra equipment to see if it affects your thrust line. Also make sure everything is secure and then do a test flight locally to see what the fuel consumption is with the extra weight. Good luck and have fun!

I'm 130 and fly an atom 80. WIth my 19m Cosmos, i don't really think its quite enough to maintain proper altitude on trims/speed bar with the wind. Possible, but Im going with a 185 for the option. I LOVE my 80, but it's definitely not got much extra and at 195lbs, yuo better use a large wing and fly from low altitudes. My big 24m Gin atlas and atom 80 make a good pair tho.

My 19m calypso is probably a cheap china make what can you suggest for me please much appreciated thanks lm 190lbs with a brand new my20atom80 came with calypso wing

@@timniro8286 I am also a novice, please forgive that I dont have much advice and it may not be any good. Calypso may be a decent wing for sure, Gin makes quality. I can only suggest you check to be sure you're not at the TOP of the load range on it. If you're 190lbs (all up like me), you should be fine with a 24meter. If its the 21m version, and you are 190lbs BEFORE rig, you may need quite a bit of wind to stay aloft. Please ask a professional for their opinion, as I am defintiely not.
