Thank you so much for sharing this information, I didn't know what else to do. Unfortunately, I was not successful in doing it automatically through the program, but I will do it manually through Word itself, it will take much longer, but at least I will be able to cross references with citations. You really helped me. Thank you very much!

I tried to replicate this and i think i did all steps correctly but the VBA reports an error at. Selection.InsertCrossReference ReferenceType:="Numbered item", _ ReferenceKind:=wdNumberRelativeContext, ReferenceItem:=MyArray(iter), _ InsertAsHyperlink:=True, IncludePosition:=False, SeparateNumbers:=False, _ SeparatorString:=" " what could that mean?

@@JesseSGoossens Hello Jesse. Try to add an empty line after the last numbered reference. Let me know if this solves the problem

@@aymannegm238 still error occurs. error 5844 when i do the errorfinder it highlights the previous comment in yellow. when I hover the mouse over it it tells me wdnumberrelativecontext=-2 I have no clue what this means.

@@JesseSGoossens I tried to replicate the error, and I solved it by applying automatic numbering of the references from Word. Make sure that the references appear as numbered items when you click insert->cross-reference->numbered item. Let me know if this solves the problem.
