You are such an honest, practical gal. You do you so well 😊. And that is why we love you! That Victorian Santa is amazing! I followed Vonna as she stitched and finished hers. Wow! I have been working on another Lavender & Lace project for years (one of the brides she did). Oh my, my goal is to have it done before I die! :)

Happy Christmas in July! I'm with you -- I enjoy my projects for me. We can't keep everything from other's past and we can't expect the future folks to keep all of our stuff. I recently bought a cross stitch of 3 little chickens from a thrift shop. KZ stitched it in '89. KZ can rest easy knowing that piece is being enjoyed by SW. haha

Thank you for your videos. love so much the Victorian Era. So sad but very true that our children’s generation don’t appreciate our crafts!! I do many projects and I have 2 daughters and 3 granddaughters and honestly they don’t enjoy making my crafts. They enjoy sewing more than my other crafts. I know my crafts will be given away or end up in the trash, 😢

I did the Santa of the Forest back in the 1990s!!! It's such a beautiful piece and the person to whom I gifted it loves it!!! To whomever wins this pattern, remember that Marilyn Leavitt - Imblum didn't use quarter and three quarter stitches in her patterns. Which makes things much easier. The only exception would be on the chin...Please enjoy this great Santa!!!!

I love this! I don’t even do this. Sometimes I just loosely fold material around a piece of sticky board or matboard I have kyung around and shove it in the frame. I wedge the back on and trim the fabric. Eh. It’s ok. But with a little more care and a tripod to dollar tree/amazon I can make things a little. Icee. BTW I totally understand about your kids and crafts. I spent years making beautiful decorative scarpbools, even owned a store for a while, and they’ve told me to my face they don’t want the ! Except the oldest who I let take all the ones he’s in except a few. My cross stitch therefore is for me and if I get a long dog or mirabilia done, then I’ll have someone else frame it. I’m having a mentally stable summer. Hope you are too! Sending hugs!

I agree. My projects are not heirlooms. They are purely for my entertainment. Discard them when I am gone. I learned this after giving a child of mine, a prized quilt. Later saw it on the floor being used as a dog bed. It was no longer mine and all was good. 😊
