Love your videos, watch all of em! Just realized I hadn't subscribed yet so I just did it right now :D One small gripe tho, Your video production is very good but the Serato screen in most videos seem very laggy which is not easy to ignore as the video is smooth. Is it because of the screen recording software or something? If you look at videos from other channels, the serato screen recordings are much smoother. Anyways, really good job with your channel, love and support!

It could to do with the screen recorder to be fair or it could be that my laptop needs a better RAM/more storage. We're definitely open to suggestions for screen recorders as we're using Quicktime at the moment but as you can see it's not the smoothest.

The original ddj-Sx had the same amount of mic inputs and also had the exact same stand alone sound card. Only missing onboard fx and the flip feature

When are you guys going to review the DDJ-SR2? That's a two channel controller about a grade lower than this one, but you can plug in turntables to the SR2 as well and it can function as a USB controller or you can plug it into the wall to use the mixer. I'd like to see your thoughts about it, as I'm considering picking up the SR2 as the SX3 is a bit overkill for me. Also, another guy on here says it's difficult to backspin with the SX3 as the jog wheels are too tight for it. The SR2 seems to do it fine though...

@@deejay_j3 I would say yes. The jogs are bigger which makes it a much better feel, they are pressure sensitive. It basically has all the ports of the sx2 but more with dual USB ports for 2 laptops at once. The only catch is its not serato, it's Pioneers software Rekordbox which isn't a bad thing since they make the controller specifically for their software. Love both but the 1000 is better IMO

@@sixty94lyf put the controller in utility mode by holding the shift and play pause button on the left deck. Then press the power button. It must be done without the USB cable connected to the laptop. Then on the right deck press keypad 6 7 or 8 for changing the length of the backspin. 8 being the longest. Turn off the controller and connect to the laptop. Power on the controller and it should work.

Is there a way to adjust the crossfader curve on the SX3 in Serato?? The 3 settings are not working for me, the knob to adjust on the sx2 was so much better. Surely there must be some kind of way to override the hardware and adjust from the laptop.. Pls help🙏🏽

Tried to find this elsewhere before commenting but couldn't and figured maybe you could help me out. I can't figure out how to do an extended backspin on my new SX3. Sorry if thats improper terminology but what I mean is it only slides back a beat or 2 no matter how hard I backspin. Is there a way to adjust the length of the spin out?

You can add an echo effect to leghten the time on the backspin. Not by much, but itll still add to the backspin. I know what you mean, but thats been my personal work around for that.

Ralph Dropz Briseño you can actually adjust the spin back length I contacted pioneer if you drop your email I forward their response. To be completely honest though I didn’t like the way the platters felt after adjusting though so I ended up resetting it back to normal

richard hampton go to the configuration and it should tell you to select headphones select channel and also tap the cue button on the mixer so it light up red and it could be that too

I got my Sx3 about 4mnths ago, worked well until now. If I reverse the jog wheels to cue and hit play it just freezes and I would have to restart the serato program to make it start playing again. Any fix For that? Thanks.

Try checking if a setting was changed. Like if it was switched to internal or dvs mode. Also hold the shift button & press the slip mode button. It may help as well. Please let me know if that fixed it. I was having the same issues and that fixed it

Flip and pitch n time sound quality are two features that set serato pro from Rekordbox DJ. I would like some sort of flip feature in Rekordbox DJ. The dual USB ports are the most practical upgrade on the sx 3. I have the sx 1& 2. I will not be getting this controller. But it is a great controller.

**DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU MIX DRUM AND BASS**. As someone who has owned one of these for nearly 4 years now, I can tell you that build quality is a BIG con. It feels solid enough, however literally EVERYONE I know (myself included) who has an SX controller, whether it be the original, 2 or 3, all have had multiple issues with faders, cue buttons and performance pads breaking. I had fader issues on channel 1 in less than a year of ownership, sent it off for repair under warranty and now channel 1 is dying again!!! It does have some great features, and I do like it as a controller, but be mindful of the fader issues. I’ve come to the conclusion that the SX series simply cannot take the rigourous fader slamming and cutting that is required in DnB. Every DnB DJ I know with an SX has fader issues, yet everyone else I know who has a DDJ-1000 has absolutely no fader issues at all. Perhaps Pioneer prioritise quality on their Rekordbox gear over Serato?… Just something to think about before buying.

You need to press the CUE button on your mixer for the deck you want to hear and adjust the knob that controls your mix . It's probably labeled CUE MIX so or something similar. Adjust it until you are either hearing only the deck you want to hear. Also Make sure the fader for the channel you don't want to hear is all the way down.
