Unlike previous Zombie Mode maps, Counter Attack replaces Red Zone and become an expanded version of it. The general layout is kept intact, but the Hidden Fortress has been reconstructed significantly, opening up a pathway to the Barren Land and the shack that holds the well to the Lost Castle has been demolished.
The Barren Land consists of two new area that allow players to farm two new buff: Damage Reduction and Attack Evade chance. Connected to both of them is an underwater sewer leading up to a hidden altar for farming zombies, and two new Arena: The Barren Land that houses Six Eyed, Goliath, Manticore and Dr. Haze, while the Darkness Valley houses Void Overlord, Freezing Guardian and Allspark. Next to the Darkness Valley is a shortcut path leading back to the Lost Garden.
