Really appreciate the focus on other divisions early in the broadcast. It was so cool seeing Pam Salazar! What a beast! I wish the age groups had their own Games broadcasts… even if they were recorded (properly, not from a fixed position like 400yrds away) and uploaded to YT afterwards it would be better than nothing. I think for other age groups, everyone would prefer to forgo a live broadcast if it meant the footage quality itself could be better.

I'm sure Colton wishes they would stop talking about his height more than I do. The deadlift and rope length RPM advantage are arguably much better than a few inches on the rower. Both did an amazing job.
@dutchstallion8518
@dutchstallion8518 8 ай бұрын
It’s a sport solely based on what your body can do. Talking about their bodies is going to happen. When you’re abnormally short,it’s going to happen even more. Plus he’s got tonnes of fans. In my opinion it’s partially because of his height. People view him as an underdog even though it’s been proven crossfit caters to shorter men.
@stephenr85
@stephenr85 8 ай бұрын
@@dutchstallion8518 sure, just gets old when it's mentioned or alluded to so frequently. Starts to feel like they're making excuses for him, which he'd hate, and like I said, he arguably had more advantage on this workout. Justin is moving 185# several inches further (height diff x2), and assuming Colton has adjusted his rope a little shorter, he can get a faster RPM. That would've been the balanced commentary regarding the height attribute, but instead it seemed like "short rower not do as good" over and over...which detracts from both athletes.
