I am Omani, I am so sorry you have encountered this, I was wishing you to have a peaceful trip! But this i guess ruined it. I hope you visit us again in the future, and you can always call the police or anyone around for help. They will deal with it. Harassment against visitors is not tolerated, Oman is known to be friendly and hospitable but this one bad experience you had, which might have ruined your trip.

I am Omani, Oman is very safe country. But no one will follow you or trying to touch you but you will find someone trying to attract you if they know that you are alone so be careful. In Oman we used to hear old men tells heavy jokes and saying bad words everywhere here in Oman but they are peacful don't worry. But even its safe country you most have mate. I liked your video. Enjoy🎉

Any kind of harassment will not be tolerated by the authority. Tourist / visitors, whom unfortunately experience these kind of behavior should/must be report it to the authority. Be safe where ever you are.

I'm sorry for what you faced...but they do have a poor sense of humour...97% of the people there are really nice!! Only few who messed it up... I remember asking for a ride (hitchhiked) after school, and the guy drops me half way home which was at that time opposite to Al Nada Hospital, he had to turn from OK centre towards Ruwi...He gives me 0MR 1 and said to catch a taxi instead of being in the sun and said I'm already black 😂😂😂 the taxi fare was 100 bz back then 😂
