Clearly a voyage well prepared for and accomplished. Well done! But towing your dinghy? and with the outboard still on it?? That could have caused you unimaginable grief even in moderately unpleasant conditions!

I look forward to the next parts. What books should I consider buying to help rout planning?
@sailingrebecca2 жыл бұрын
For Route planning around the Channel I have A pilot book of British isles and France combined, used in in conjunction with passage and pilot Charts. For further afield Jimmy Cornells books on world cruising, and route planning are good. :)

You were keen not to enter Braye after dark but ended up doing so, in fact it’s not too difficult is it ? The lighthouse makes a big difference on a dark night.
@sailingrebecca2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, yes your right I was not keen on entering Braye in the dark, and it was a very dark night, the light house was very helpful. Fortunately I had spent some time in Alderney before do I had a fair idea what I was getting myself into, I think I'll probably leave a bit earlier next time. :)

A clean bottom helps in most situations, at least that's what I find.

Stay on the boat but don’t fall in the harbour after visiting the Divers.
