Hello I’ve been watching your videos and readings your papers and you explain this condition and seem to be one of the most knowledgable doctors that I have come across for this condition. my boyfriend (26 years old) has been diagnosed with keratoconus and it has happened very suddenly. A year ago he said his vision was fine and he has never needed glasses until last year. When he went for a second checkup for a upgraded prescription he was told he has this condition. After getting a topography we see that his right eye has a 372um and his left eye has a 394um. The specialist where we are has told us there is not much we can do at this stage as we are under the 400um. After reading your sub400 protocol It has made me curious as to if crosslinking under 400um is possible in Canada. We are going to try and get a lens fitting and get more opinions but I would like to know what your advice would be at this stage as we are both worried and confused. Thank you :)

Hi. Please note that this limitation is due to the current FDA approval that has approved the so-called Dresden protocol with a corneal thickness of at least 400 µm. In the past 15 years, we have worked a lot on the algoriths of treatment and I can currently treat down to 220 µm of stroma.
