I have a regular corded CrossWave, I specifically picked it over the cordless models for the increased power and so I wouldn't have to worry about battery degradation. I've been very pleased with it. The clean-water/solution tank on my model has a label that says it can handle 60°C/140°F max, so I normally use very hot water to fill it out in order to have warm water dispensed during cleaning. It's not the same as steam, but it's the closest thing to it for those with a floor that could get damaged by steam-cleaning.

I own the CW Pet Pro, and the CW HF3. The HF3 is all around awesome but especially great for ergonomics as they said. Super light. Super Compact. Easy to quickly grab. Attractive enough to be placed out in a kitchen nook/corner. Comes with a nice minimalist charging dock that’s barely larger than the machine base. The dock plugs into a wall outlet. You just set it on the base, and it begins charging. Couldn’t be any easier. It does a great job as a quick clean. Floors look and feel amazing afterwards. Not a spec. But, it is not going to scrub your nasty floor. It’s simply a brush spinning on the floor with very little downward pressure. Do not expect it to scrub. I use the HF3 for when my cat barfs, or I drop food/sauce on the ground. Quick pick ups. Super easy. I love it. The cons of the HF3 are that the tanks are small so you have to refill and dump them frequently, and the battery life is just 20minutes. That it not enough time to do your whole house. The CW Pet Pro is also a fantastic product. More power and better suction as they said. It has much larger tanks than the hf3 and can run for as long as you need as it’s corded. It does the same job as far as the level of cleaning capability. I use the Pet Pro to clean my entire house for those reasons. The HF3 is great for quick jobs. The Pet Pro is great for whole house cleaning. I love having both but if I had to pick one, I’d go with the HF3. It will certainly keep your floors immaculate but just remember, the entire cross wave series is not meant for deep cleaning. They are meant for upkeep.

I would like to see a test with clinker floor and basically fat/protein stains. The dirt comes from dogs, our own feet's and the food the children drops. When cleaning tile by tile with wet nappings they become gray despite normal mopping, daily moping with Roborock S7 MAX and vacuum cleaning. The streamer should have an advantage there but I need some proof.

Unlike these ridiculous comments about the channel doing well and needing to grow/add to the team which is awesome- I actually have a relevant question. How well do these Bissell models hold their own against the Shark HydroVac (corded and cordless models) or even the Tinecos? Really interested in purchasing one for our vinyl plank floors (I even used our carpet cleaner on them to not have to scrub them the old fashioned way 😂), but can't decide which brand/model to go with.

I think I use mine for cleaning the floors not picking up spill SpaghettiOs or other large debris. It makes no sense because you’re gonna spend all your time cleaning the tanks andunit when you could’ve just wiped up the spill and then mopped it

@kc5077 10 ай бұрын
No contest the Bissell Big Green Professional Carpet cleaner is the better cleaner, it's a commercial machine and the same one you can rent at the grocery store/hardware store. The Big Green has larger tanks so less refilling, it also cleans forward and backward where the Rug Doctor only cleans on the backward pass. The Revolution HyrdroSteam is based on the smaller ProHeat Revolution. The HyrdoSteam Crosswave only wet wipes rugs.

There are a few videos that do complete the big green to some others, but the hydro steam carpet cleaner is fairly new and I don’t believe they’ve gotten to it. In previous tests the 2x revolution has outperformed even the larger machines like the big green, and that may be to the fact that it has 2 scrubbing rollers. I would say that it does depend on your situation. The 2x is much easier to use and store, and is extremely effective. To say it wet wipes the carpets is inaccurate. It does a great job of deep cleaning the carpets as it has great suction and different options for how much water is put out. If you want a light refresh vs an extra deep clean you can select less or more water to be dispensed. It’s also easier to maneuver when compared to the big green. Having used both I definitely prefer the results of the 2x and the use. The big green is great and it’s rented at stores, but if you get a sale on the 2x revolution it becomes the more economical choice after just a few uses. Plus it’s easier to get out a fresh stain vs. waiting to rent a cleaner and tackling it. Definitely spend some time watching the carpet cleaning videos. And as a note I recommend the 2x revolution pet pro over the “regular” 2x version because it has the added ability to easy access the brush rolls for cleaning, as well as the stain shot feature. Method is also important. So personally I recommend dry vacuuming really well in all directions. Doing a “lighter” pass with your cleaning solution and giving it some dwell time and then doing a “wetter” pass with just clean water only followed by several dry passes. The alternative is using a pump sprayer (or spray bottle if you want to torture your arm and hands) to apply the cleaning solution liberally across the carpet followed by wet rinse and dry passes. The solution does work great if you don’t follow it with a rinse but my preference is to rinse to avoid the carpets becoming dirty again quickly. I do know the 2x has a handheld hose attachment. I cannot recall if the big green does. You may not need the 2x hydrosteam- especially if it’s out of the budget, but I do really like the 2x pet pro. And for really tough (non protein) messes you could always use a smaller steamer separate to pretreat it. I actually have a big steamer and I’ll use the steam head brush in between my chemical and rinse cycles if it’s a super deep clean. The best results you’ll get are when you take the time to take the right steps. Make sure you know what kind of material you’re working with and how it will react to your cleaners by spot checking first. And use the appropriate cleaner for whatever the stain is. You may need an enzyme cleaner for some pet stains, etc. I’d advise against the TikTok trends as many of them don’t follow professional methods or advice and tend to use way too much of the wrong soaps. That’s a whole other discussion though. Anyway I’m sorry this is so long but I hope it helps. Edited to add: Vacuum wars does have a review of the hydrosteam and the big green does offer a handlheld attachment. Additionally I want to clarify that yes the big green has more suction power and cleans very well. It just isn’t in my opinion what the average household needs. It’s better for larger jobs or doing the whole house at once. It is large and heavier and more difficult to maneuver though. I guess it depends on your use case. But the big green might be more than you need for your home.

@@aval5098 There are so many Bissell machines. My wet wipe comment was only for the Crosswave HydroSteam. I mentioned it because Bissell says that both the regular Crosswave and Crosswave HydroSteam can refresh area rugs. Since both Crosswaves have softer brushrolls for hard floors it is more akin to wiping than scrubbing from a regular carpet cleaner.

Can you please tell if Bissel Hydrosteam or Crosswave can be used on CARPET floors? Or are they more designed towards hard floors?
@saintejeannedarc9460
@saintejeannedarc9460 3 ай бұрын
The Crosswave can definitely be used on carpets. They even have a carpet brush you can get separately, or in kits w/ replacement brushes and filters. The do a surface cleaning, though only for area rugs. You can ruin a medium or high pile carpet w/ these, as they aren't strong enough to get all the water that goes deeper in the fibres, so they can cause mold issues. For light area rugs, they apparently do a great job at a light cleaning and can even get out some more surface stains too.

There is! It’s called the iLife shinebot. There are two versions, a regular and “smart” version that lets you customize more options. It is a little different in that instead of spraying water directly through the roller it sprays right in front of the roller which then scrubs and sucks up the dirty water into a separate tank. It has some limitations though. It doesn’t perform as well on uneven flooring, and it has a hard time climbing over barriers (mostly because it’s designed not to accidentally hop on to the carpet). It isn’t a full replacement for a deep clean. But I use this in combination with another dry robot vacuum. I let the dry one run first, and this one runs after. It isn’t random navigation, and it does offer a few cleaning modes. I prefer it over my spin wave robot mop, which uses two spinning pads with a trickle down water system. Overall, the shinebot may not work for everyone, but it does work for me. I usually run it at the end of the day after the dry vac robot. That way no one is walking around on wet floors. It doesn’t leave the floor very wet, but it doesn’t get it completely dry either. I have a lightly textured tile plank flooring. The grout lines are not flush with the tike, but the machine is still able to pick up easy wet messes in the grout. Overall I like it and am happy with it. It does take some time to clean everything but it’s different than you having to physically clean everything. You can really just listen out for it while you do other things.

@@ElectricApe. I wonder why they don’t use double rollers (counter-rotating), and have the entire weight of the machine sit on them to add more downward pressure. There’s also the added benefit of no wheels to scratch your floor or get crap in. For example the Karcher FC7 does this, but it only squeegees the rollers, no vacuum unfortunately.

Batteries across all brands wear out in 2-5 years and the Tineco's battery is not replaceable. You would be better off with the corded Bissell Crosswave HydroSteam or regular corded Bissell Crosswave. The most reliable would be a regular steam mop or Bissell Spinwave because they don't have a vacuum and have less parts to break.

I still don't get why someone would want to vacuum big particles using a HydroSteam when a normal vacuum would do it. Main issue I have is the hardwood floors slowly accumulate dust on the floor which can't be cleaned by a normal vacuum. For this the steam vacuum looks perfect to me. I set robot vacuum to clean the floor for any big particles and use the HydroSteam to sanitize and clean the floor.

What I don’t understand is why does the steam version need to have the front of the roller shrouded? Surely if it just aimed the steam down towards the base of the roller it would quickly get wiped up anyway. It really ruins the ability to pickup larger solids, and just pushes them around.

The crosswave is only good for 2-3 years before the brush motor basically fries itself, as the housing that the motor sits in can get wet. Mine started to rust after 3 years of use. Would really recommend doing a tear down of these vacuums and seeing just how low quality their engineering and parts are.

If anyone invents a cordless steam that would outsell everything. Not sure what the big challenge is.

The laws of physics, and the energy density of current state batteries. Creating steam means this vacuum uses 3 times more power than its unsteaming equivalent. Current cordless vacuums already kind of suck compared to their corded equivalents because batteries can only hold so much power, if you want to increase the runtime or suction power, it takes more batteries, and even more weight, which now eliminates the convenient factor to using it. It’s all a big trade-off. Once you add steam, then you need significantly more battery. I’ve heard of (can’t remember the name) a cordless “Steam” mop, but without reading any reviews, I can guarantee you it isn’t very good, or at a minimum, it doesn’t produce an adequate amount of steam to actually accomplish anything, because of well… physics!
@wax-ecstatic

The challenge is battery life. The best batteries on the market are those used in the Ego line of home tools like the weedeaters, mowers and blowers. We don't have anything near that power in the wet/dry vacuum lineup. If only Ego would make one.

I did not find this to be very comprehensive. It doesn't address many issues plaguing the crosswave previous crosswave like it always leaving behind excecc water it accumulating dirt in extremely hard to clean places and the very mediocre self clean function. I would have liked to know if there were improvements here

Let's be real, all of the Bissell crosswave models suck. I bought the X7 and I regret it. The vacuum part is pretty good but it's absolutely TERRIBLE as a mop. First off it leaves wheel streaks no matter what I do. (I also know multiple people who own various Bissell crosswaves and they all have that same problem) Second, you can't use it as a spot mop like I was hoping because you have to rinse and dry the entire thing every single time you mop anything up 🤦 You're much better off getting a decent cordless vac and a Shark steam mop.
