Atomsk had a couple jumps to play with, he had the right idea of upB to pass ledge to land on top of bowser while he was doing flame breath, but atomsk spaced it wrong, he was too close to ledge and got 40% because of it.

There are a few kill set ups. Falling nair into bair from 50-80% and falling nair into upair above 80%. DI-able option is down throw into upair at 70-110%. Ledge kills are most common, just input a uptilt c stick gordo near ledge and charge down B, dash attack or smash attack. Or, you jump off stage, place a gordo on the ledge and force enemy around it or into it for a free spike. Other than those options I'd say falling nair on shield into uptilt can kill high percentage opponents, or a falling gordo into upsmash or d smash for example.

@@marksaenz3836 Well yeah I see Dedede as a punisher. To play Dedede well, you have to understand your opponent really well, otherwise you'll just get rekt. If you know when to punish with Dedede, that makes you a good Dedede. Gordo true combos into literally any move Dedede has, and nair + bair or uair is also true, so if you make use of that it can be made viable.

Ikr, some of Dedede's attacks feel super weak for a heavy. I know his Forward Air can combo at early percents, but its kill power is really lacking and it doesn't spike. I feel like even his Back Air isn't nearly as powerful as it should be for a slow move with a good bit of end lang. Up Air and Down Air I don't have much gripes with, but another move of I feel like is too weak is his Up Smash. I feel like it should be Ganondorf Up Smash levels of power.

Hitting an opponent into Gordo should NOT decrease knockback. The game should be able to gauge the knockback of the original move vs after hitting the gordo, and go with whichever one launches the most.

Koopa and Lyricofwisdom Two of the goats; Koopa been getting hella opportunities with collision and HO3K and Lyric does a lot with No Pause Tournaments and she does Codename: Bairs some Fridays. Lyric actually was also an event coordinator for Cross Up and helped plan most of it

This match up is fairly even, believe it or not. Not all match ups are a matter of whos a better character in general, a lot are what can each character do to counter the other's strategies. Dedede's gordo works beautifully against Bowser, and he can edge guard and ledge trap him well. In neutral, Dedede has a bit more range and a disjoint, but less kill power and combo potential than Bowser. Bowser has a slight edge in this purely because he has more kill power and can edge guard dedede with his broken two frame options and ledge option punishes. So Dedede suffers heavily there.

Atomsskay All name jokes aside, as a Bowser player, I've always despised this matchup. Leon played it incredibly well and used Fire Breath in a way I did not know was possible against Dedede's Up B armor.

Wow, Atomsk did absolutely terrible here. He could have gotten at LEAST 2 kills off of Bowser's command grab by simply leading him off the edge. He also just went straight into the fire multiple times when he clearly had better options. I've seen Atomsk work wonders with Dedede, but this match should have been an easy win for him considering how many things Dedede has to abuse Bowser.
