I had to switch over to the English Croton because the Mega Hit Croton stopped providing English Captions. Shasha did not work hard enough to keep a relationship with Tian. She claimed she changed herself to be with him, but I feel that she did not speak up enough to let him know what she did and did not like. Tian made mistakes because he is not used to dating and so did Shasha. Shasha does not like to work for things worth fighting for because she is similar to her mom. They just want things to go their way. Her mom even took credit for Xi's mom's book that she painstakingly translated for 3 years, and refuses to admit it the wrong that she did.

I'm really not keen on Victoria Song's acting. She's far too stoic, hardly a smile, no, too serious for me. I will avoid her dramas in future. She seems to be afraid to let herself relax.

Well it's her personality based on this drama or her inherited personality. Well preferably influenced by life's events and she is nonchalant and i especially started watching this drama, since there is no hyperbole and melodramatic female lead here , it's cliché for me. Being stoic might be not preferable for others. But i can relate to her imperturbable nature here. As a person who can be considered as stolid, yeah. It's preferable for me.

I think she portrayed well the character of lin xi who feels empty , sad , strict , and has hatred in her hesrt becoz of what happened to her family and her lovelife. Victoria song is a versatile actress. She acted well in this drama. As linxi she managed to let go of her hatred when she finally gets back with Xiao yeching
