The acting in this episode was fantastic. When the FL was confronting the ML after the meeting, the composure yet heartbreak in her expression was absolutely perfect. And you could see the regret starting to appear in his expression as well. It is such a warning to really think before you act and NEVER let money be your guiding force; you can't hug it, and it won't comfort you when you are sick or sad. Each drama teaches me so much. Thanks writers, producer, actors and actresses. So far a stellar job from everyone

But ML had a point: he's responsible to his company to do business in the best interests of his company and once he discovered that something illegal was going on, he was right to not cover it up just to spare the emotions of his employee (FL). I think he was counting on her to be strong enough to get through the kickback evidence. But he didn't know about the e-mail sent from FL's phone regarding the base price leak, a huge plot twist. I wonder how the daughter of the Xin family was involved with that damning e-mail sent from FL's phone... ML told FL in the beginning that women in the Xin family were allowed to shine only in the kitchen and garden -- but the Xin daughter was at that business meeting, and had ahold of information that stopped the bidding. Seems like Xin's daughter has more influence than just in the kitchen and garden... Jia Liang has limited business acumen.

I agree. It's a horrible thing to be used without knowing. I understand the other two comments because the business world can be hard but if this happened to you I bet you'd be furious to be the scapegoat. It's a male/female perspective but you can't tell me that even the ML didn't feel some regret. There really needs to be some middle ground but that's part of a good drama. It sure gets you thinking
