That's awful! I love handmade gifts and try to make my kids and grandkids ornaments every year. Unfortunately, Christmas has become too commercialized and people just don't seem to appreciate the simple things in life.......kids these days freak out if they dont get what they want, so sad what this world is turning into. I'm making Angel's this yr for the granddaughters and these wreaths for the grandsons. I hope CC comes back to make more videos!

I love these. I use colonial knots instead of French knots. I know what you mean about the hair, I have 2 dogs, 1 is short haired, not a problem, the other is a border collie/Siberian husky, I can't make anything without having to pull hair out of it, I even have a cup that says "Dog hair is my glitter". Thank You for sharing your Time, and Your Talent with all of us. I just finished making 2 of the wreaths, I didn't have any rings, so I made a chain 12 long, joined it, then put 32 dc into it, and made it the rest of the way exactly as you showed. They came out very sturdy, you really don't need a ring.

I LOVE this!! So quick to work up! When I do the berries, I initially insert my needle where I want the bow and leave a long tail. Then I work the berries and bring my needle back up next to the beginning and then tie my bow...no ends to weave in!!

You've made me so happy! My mother (who passed away a few years ago) made these and they were around our home at Christmas every year. I've finally taken up Crocheting and she is no longer here to teach me. She's smiling down from Heaven as I made my first one. LOVE the milk carton ring- so simple and free! Thanks again and Merry Christmas :)

Cyndi, I just took up crocheting as well, teaching myself with the help of books and youtube. I lost my mom on 3/28/22 and she made us dish rags every year for Christmas. That is what I started with. I've moved on to other things and was happy to find these cute ornaments. My grandmother was an amazing crocheter. She did the tedious doilies, tablecloths, bedspreads, etc. I cherish all that I still have from her. I know they are both guiding my hands as I learn and both are smiling down on me. Happy crocheting to you!

So excited to find this tutorial. I found another of someone doing pretty much the same thing around a bangle and someone doing one around a shower ring. I don't have any bangles and my shower rings are not round. Leave it to a frugal individual to find something that is around everyone's home. I'm so excited to start making these kind of wreath ornaments. Thank you so very much for this video.

Remember when six packs were held together with plastic rings. That's what we used for the wreaths. You got me going again and your video inspired me to do this fun crochet craft with you. I did get frustrated though not having enough rings. So....tonight I made a ring of 10 double crochets and joined to make a circle. Finish as usual and looks the same. Keep up the video's

Thank you for a wonderful tutorial. You are clear and concise, your voice is very pleasant, and there is no annoying music in the background. The wreath itself is adorable, I have used little hoops from the dollar store, and also done a simple chain, which worked nicely. I am not great at crocheting, but these made me proud. Gave them as Christmas gifts to colleagues and neighbours. Very well received. Thank you! ❤

I am new to the crocheting as in my younger years I always knitted. But with this Covid have needed something to put in my time. And knitting now is just not for me.So I did learn how to do the Rainbows which has been Great.Although Im still a beginner here,I found this very easy to follow.Although we here in Scotland don’t get the plastic rim around our bottles. So I used my Granddaughter’s hair band to start with. Was perfect. And very Pleased with what I had made.So carried on,but afraid all the other bands I had were softer,so result was I had to double them over to achieve the round. But have Subscribed now to your channel and hopefully will be able to do some more wee Christmas decorations. And also would appreciate any ideas from your Subscribers thanks.

I tried something new using this pattern. My ring was a reg size mason jar ring. Using a chunky yarn the same 32 stitches covered the ring. I then made a V ring in each stitch around. I then placed a photo into the centre using a card stock for backing support. The bit of hot glue I used to fix the photo was hidden by the ring. This is still my fav pattern or rings of all sizes. Please keep up the great tutorials.

I had found these years ago, in a magazine. I will not be using rings off bottles as I don't want to destroy my nails. I had made dozens of them as I decorated crochet slippers, Christmas gifts and of course some or the tree. Let's see if I can find some of those rings I'd used, plastic curtain rings, I believe. Those were the days, how I miss them.
