I’ve been up all night watching this. I think I have 12 Crowbar CDs. I liked Choke , Ceed , Trauma, Fall from Grace , Eye Hate God , Moon Crickets , Acid Bath , Graveyard Rodeo , Razor White , Oliver Magnum , Flesh Coat , I could go on and on. I kinda forgot about all of this. Bands played 7 days a week from Slidell , St.Bernard , Metairie, Houma , what a blast. Thanks for sharing. Art and Soul Electric Expressions this all just came back to me ... so rad. My chic is like .... you know these people? I’m like hell yes I worked in House of Shock. She does not believe me.

Nope. I use to play in Tungsten. I use to video and take pictures of all of the bands in the Nola scene from the late 80s through the the 90s. Great bands great friends and the moment needed to be documented.

Didn’t the drummer play with “DOWN” later on down the road? I’m a huge “Type O Negative” & “CARNIVORE” fan & i know Kirk Weinstein is as well🤘Kirk ended up getting a cool “Type O” green coloured tattoo on his left hand on the top & it looks badass imo🤘
@thundertyrant
@thundertyrant Жыл бұрын
Jimmy was in Shell Shock / Aftershock / The Slugs Pre Crowbar. And also in EHG and The Drummer in Down. Great drummer and a genuine great dude. He and Kirk helped develop that sound. And Carnivore and early Type O were big influences along with The Melvins.

That Charvel Kirk is playing -- is it one of those San Dimas models from the early/mid 80's? I noticed he always played Charvel and Jackson guitars in Crowbar. You can really hear the Black Sabbath influence in every riff he plays.

+Schuriken I'm surprised he can play riffs that low on a standard scale-length guitar without intonation problems. Those strings must be as massive as piano wire. Also, when did he endorse Dean guitars? You look at recent videos of Crowbar and Down, and he's jamming on an ESP Les Paul knock-off or a Gibson Explorer.

A Ludwig, I believe. As you can see, Jimmy removed the "udwig" & replaced it w/ "orcet", making it say "Lorcet". Ha! I had completely forgotten about that until I looked to check for ya. I shared a practice space w/ these cats & Stressball for about a year; it was right by the Huey P Long Bridge.

Diogo Tenan it's just a warm.up song I don't think it turned into anything you've just something most bands do just to kind of warm up and see if everybody's loud enough and they'll just make a riff up on the spot. That's usually where a lot of songs get written in that accidental phase of accidentally recreating something really cool
