One time I was performing the Marlowe tilt a girl told me the same thing: "No, no, put it in the front", and I just continued the move and said "just like a girl, never wanting you to put it in the back." Everyone cracked up and she lost her power in the dynamic.

Keep these coming! Remembering this sort of stuff makes me feel more comfortable when performing

@3isenheim you ask them for something of equal or greater value in return (whatever that may be for you), and if they turn it down or offer something you don't like, say no deal. And if they do, just go into a story and dance around revealing the trick anyway lol

I am by no means a professional, but I find different ways to do what seems like the same sleight. If I was in the position that you were, I would simply slot the card from the front, angle jog it, then control it to the top. And if the audience knows about DLs I just do a DL alternative. You can't know too many sleights. ;)

I met a A hole like this but I still did the trick and the trunk only takes like 2 mins not even but it took me like 8 trying to do the trick so next time I meet a person like that I'm not going to bother with them. Thanks for the advice Evan :

i hate people like that. like really?? this is my trick, ill do it how I want. lol. I usually do the same thing tho, when someone starts doing that I just walk away and not even finish the trick. it aggravates me so much when people do that.

No. People who do this shouldn't dictate what you do, it's disrespectful. Don't cater to these people.
