For me Bohemian Rhapsody became played out because of Wayne’s World. It was played so much after that movie came out that I still don’t really want to listen to it almost 30 yrs later. The overexposure of this song from that movie ruined the song for me but I guess it’s always new and fresh to younger folks.

@@nerdymusicianfangirl7024 Glad at least someone appreciates the drummer. Look through the other comments and other people are talking shit about the drummer. I should know; I got into near-arguments with some of them. Got into a very long one that I still remember. Lol, guess some people really are stupid enough to say this drummer is "bad". But then again, they're probably saying he's "bad" because they're comparing him to some famous showoff drummers who are extremely technically proficient :/!
@nerdymusicianfangirl7024 Жыл бұрын
@@justinnaramor6050 Ikr. Like, I don't think people give drummers enough credit. I'm not a drummer but my highschool orchestra teacher had a drum set in the corner of the classroom and I wanted to give it a try. He gave me a simple beat and I couldn't stay focused on keeping both hands and feet moving for crap. This drummer is really great. I honestly give props to any drummer who can keep time and focus on what both hands and feet are doing but yeah, this drummer is great and people are expecting him to do some Neil Peart or Taylor Hawkins stuff in a school talent show. Like, okay, we know he's not exactly Neil or the three Taylors of drumming but he's 0retty damn great. I think that the people who trash on a drummer are obviously inexperienced and jealous peeps who either wish they could drum but don't have the motivation to actually try or they tried the music gig, found one drummer they didn't have a great experience with, and decided to get pissy about every younger drummer who actually can drum.
@justinnaramor6050 Жыл бұрын
@@nerdymusicianfangirl7024 yeah, even a basic drum beat requires concentration. The mean comments are probably because of jealousy as you proposed, but they could also be because of those commenters being so used to highly technical drumming, and they have been exposed to that for so long, that they just cannot accept anything simpler. kind of like how you might get so used to hearing the original studio recording of a popular song that you just cannot accept a re-interpretation of the song by another person who performs it slightly differently. this is a problem, because when you get so used to that it sort of clouds your judgment if you know what I mean.
