I was at this show. It was amazing. Other than the white hair, David Byrne looks like he hasn't aged a day, it's scary. He sounds as great as ever too...thanks for sharing.

Bloody awesome to witness. We are ver proud of Neil and Crowded House and he and brothers band Split Enz. Australia has them as rock royalty too. How great must it feel that you are good enough to have David Byrne join you onstage in NY to sing 2 of his own big songs. He has always been one of my most fave front men and songwriters. He's the REAL DEAL.

you need to watch Stop Making Sense, the concert movie. If you havent already. the full movie is on YT, free. I loved it so much, went and bought the DVD. im 46 years old, followed the talking heads back in 1978-1980's but never had seen the movie, stopped liking their music as the band evolved, didnt appreciate what they were doing back then, i wanted guitars, rock, etc. I regret it now, the movie is unbelievable. youtube is the best. Who can get any work done anymore?

A while ago I saw the Finn Brothers on musicMAX picking their favourite 5 or 10 (don't remember) music videos. One of them was Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere. It was the first time I saw Talking Heads and love them right away.

I recall one time walking through SoHo and seeing David Byrne riding his bicycle in a suit - one of the most surreal moments I’ve experienced. I love NYC, David Byrne and Neil Finn and all they’re associated with.

Ironic isn't it - he took legal action against the other three to stop them touring under the name of Talking Heads, but he's got no problem what so ever singing a Talking Heads song with /another/ band has he. Funny that.
@broom4417 жыл бұрын
aires69uk There's a clear difference though. David isn't stopping Tina, Chris or Jerry from preforming Talking Heads songs, he's stopping them from using the name Talking Heads. And I totally agree with him. Yes, it's still majority of the band, but it's still missing Byrne, which is the most important part of the band. Using the name Talking Heads when Byrne isn't present is manipulative and a obvious cash in.
@marybethtruman7 жыл бұрын
HE wrote the song...I don't see why he doesn't have the right to sing it...it's not Heads without everyone, but he's the main man.
